The 2015 Soul Train Awards nominations were announced on Friday and Lil Wayne picked up a nod in the category “Best Hip-Hop Song Of The Year” for Nicki Minaj‘s “Truffle Butter” song featuring himself and Drake.

Good luck to the Young Money artists, who will will be going up against Big Sean’s “Blessings“, Big Sean’s “IDFWU“, Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen“, and Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” tracks in the category.

This year’s Soul Train Awards show will be filmed on November 6th from the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and air on Centric and BET November 29th at 8PM EST!

Former Sqad Up and Young Money artist Kidd Kidd celebrated his birthday at Tease Gentlemen Club in Atlanta, Georgia on November 29th.

While they were in town for Lil Wayne‘s daughter’s Sweet 16 birthday party, Wayne and Mack Maine joined the G-Unit rapper at the strip club to help celebrate his birthday.

Lil Wayne and Toya Wright threw a Sweet 16 birthday party for their daughter Reginae Carter, who turned sixteen on November 29th. The birthday bash, which was based on a winter white theme, took place on Saturday in Atlanta, Georgia.

For Nae‘s birthday gift, Weezy and Toya Wright bought her two luxury cars – a white Ferrari GTO and a red BMW X5. They also surprised her with live performances from Nicki Minaj, Rae Sremmurd, and We Are Toonz. Toya also mentioned that she had spent nearly $500,000 on this party!

Other guests who attended this Sweet 16 bash included Dhea, Jacida Carter, Dwayne Carter III, Neal Carter, Birdman, T.I., Lil Twist, Sarah Vivan, Nivea, Mike WiLL Made It, and more. MTV are also set to show what went down at this party on a special episode of their My Super Sweet 16 show.

Tyler, The Creator recently chopped it up with MTV about meeting Lil Wayne, wanting to give a beat he produced to Weezy, and supporting Tunechi‘s skateboarding.

Tyler has dreams of working with Wayne, but he hasn’t yet built up the courage to tap his manager Christian Clancy to help put the plan in motion. “I actually have this beat that I want him on, but I was too scared to get it to Clancy to get it to them, but Wayne’s cool.”

“I wanted to kinda fan out and shit,” Tyler admitted, “but he gave me a speech about how happy he was that I won a VMA and that seeing my mom go crazy kinda made him feel like he won it too, because that shit was real as fuck.”

While the Goblin rapper and producer was taken aback by Weezy’s props, he was disappointed that he didn’t get to speak his piece and talk about his favorite Weezy mixtape. “He sat there for three minutes giving me a speech, and I’m like, ‘I just wanted to say that Da Drought 3 was my shit,’ and I couldn’t,” Tyler said with disappointment.

“It’s just weird when people from a different world come into our world,” he said. “But then again, he’s just fuckin’ having fun. That’s what people don’t get and shit. He’s learning, and I think it’s cool that he takes the time out of his day to just do some fuckin’ shit that makes him happy for the day. I just wish people would realize shit like that.”

In other news, Lil Wayne has announced that he will be headlining his own shows in Australia while he tours with Eminem later this year in the Outback. Tune will be performing in Perth on November 25th, Adelaide on November 27th and Melbourne on November 29th, as well as his two shows with Eminem on December 1st and 2nd.
