Chanel West Coast Says She Loves Lil Wayne, Reveals What Happened With Her Young Money Deal

Chanel West Coast recently appeared on Berner’s Round Table Podcast for a one on one interview.

During their conversation, Chanel mentioned she loves Lil Wayne and is supposed to be on Young Money, as well as have the same management as Weezy and Nicki Minaj.

However, CWC says Nicki was one of the main conflicts that stopped her from doing so, which is similar to the story she told us earlier this year.

Birdman Discusses Lil Wayne & Young Thug Not Getting On, A Possible Hot Boys Reunion Album, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Tyga & More

For the latest episode of N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN‘s “Drink Champs” podcast, Birdman made a special appearance to speak about everything from Lil Wayne, Cash Money Records, Drake, Rick Ross, Young Thug, Hot Boys, Tyga, Ronald “Slim” Williams, Nicki Minaj, and plenty more.

Throughout the interview, Baby recalled telling Noreaga that Wayne was going to be the biggest in the game back when Juvenile was one of the biggest and Tunechi was only a shy kid, as well as being hurt from the Hot Boys breaking up and leaving, but remembering Tune tell him: “fuck them niggas man, I’m better than all of them niggas together anyway” to which it made him wake up and never look back.

The #1 Stunna also revealed it is possible that we may get another Hot Boys album as B.G. will be home from jail this year, what he thought about Rick Ross getting involved in his business with Lil Wayne, how awkward it was for him when Wayne and Young Thug did not get on but all he wanted was for them to work together, and how Weezy, Nicki and Drizzy all had plans to drop an album together.

Monsta Beatz Talk Producing Migos & Lil Wayne Fantastic Collaboration, Reveal They Had A Song Pulled From Tha Carter V Last Minute

Monsta Beatz recently chopped it up with Thedo and MAQ on episode 89 of his “DaTakeOver” podcast (who have chatted with Fee Banks and Mannie Fresh in the past) for an hour, which you can listen to below.

During their conversation from the 32:40 mark, the New Orleans production duo revealed Lil Wayne is the most mainstream music artist that they have worked with. If you didn’t already know, they produced Wayne‘s “I’m Good” featuring Lucci Lou off No Ceilings, as well as “Vizine“.

The producers also spoke about receiving a phone call from Universal Music Group about having a beat on Tha Carter V; however, the song was pulled last minute. They even added that they produced Migos’ upcoming “Fantastic” collabo with Tunechi, which we heard a snippet for in 2015, and discussed producing Curren$y’s “442” track featuring Tune and Birdman!

Chanel West Coast Talks Smoking With Lil Wayne, Signing To Young Money, Nicki Minaj Not Liking Her & More

Chanel West Coast was the special guest on episode 501 of Michael Rapaport‘s “I Am Rapaport” stereo podcast, which you can check out after the jump below.

During their conversation at the 48:45 mark, Chanel discussed having a dog named “Weezy” after Lil Wayne, the best people she has smoked with are Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller, her top 5 alive rappers are Wayne, Eminem, Jay Z, Drake and Big Sean, being signed to Young Money, Nicki Minaj vs. Cardi B, and plenty more.

Later on in their interview at the 1:08:20 mark, CWC revealed that her signing to YM was one of the main reasons why Wayne sued Birdman. She even mentioned that she had heard from her management team, who also manage Weezy and Nicki Minaj, that Nicki does not like her and so it’s going to be a big conflict if she signs to the record label.

Chanel West Coast then told the story of when Young Mula accepted an award at the 2014 BET Awards and all of them went on stage, she knew then that Minaj didn’t like her as she walked in a different direction from them all. In related news, Chanel also left an Instagram comment on a post of the We Are Young Money album cover by Shanell saying “Ehh one person on here is why you and I ain’t further ahead but love the rest tho”. SnL replied back with a “shush” emoji and a comment reading “they will know when it’s time”!

Last month, Kobe Bryant made an appearance on Barstool’s “The Corp” podcast to chop it up with Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez and Dan “Big Cat” Katz.

During their conversation, the former professional basketball player was asked how often does he listen to the “Kobe Bryant” song that Lil Wayne created for him back in 2009.

While answering the question, Kobe also revealed how the Weezy track came together after the 2009 Western Conference Finals where Bryant‘s Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Denver Nuggets in six games:

“It was after the Denver series, [Wayne] called me. He was like: ‘Man, that performance just motivated the hell out of me.’ I think it was like game six. He was like: ‘I’mma do a song. Is it okay, can I do a song?’ I was like: ‘alright, cool.’ Man I just thought he was just BS-ing or whatever. Before the Celtics series he sends me the song and I was like: ‘Oh, you were serious.’ Okay, that’s awesome.”
