DJ Toomp Talks Producing A Song For Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz & Benny The Butcher

DJ Toomp recently sat down with B. High for a one on one interview, which you can check out below.

At the start of their conversation, Toomp spoke about producing a track for 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne‘s ColleGrove 2 joint album that also features Benny The Butcher.

The Atlanta record producer, songwriter and DJ mentioned the instrumental includes a “classic soul sample chopped up”, so more than likely it is the “La La La” song that we heard a preview of 2 years ago which he is talking about!

Lil Bibby Reveals He Couldn’t Clear A Lil Wayne Sample For Juice WRLD’s “Fighting Demons” Album

Lil Bibby Reveals He Couldnt Clear A Lil Wayne Sample For Juice WRLD Fighting Demons Album

For the second anniversary of Juice WRLD‘s unfortunate death a few days ago, his record label Grade A Productions released his second posthumous album called Fighting Demons.

In an interview with Complex magazine, Grade A Productions founder Lil Bibby and Juice‘s manager Jideonwo revealed they tried to get a Lil Wayne sample cleared for the new project.

However, Bibby explained he was unable to clear a sample from Wayne‘s interview with Emmanuel Acho about mental health and it wasn’t Weezy or Acho who blocked this from happening, it was the studio who owns the content.

You can read what the two of them had to say about trying to include a Tunechi sample on Juice WRLD‘s Fighting Demons album after the jump below! Would you have liked to hear a WRLD song presumably about mental health with a Tune sample?

Feature Friday #247: David Banner – Shawty Say (Feat Lil Wayne)

David Banner Shawty Say Feat Lil Wayne

I have picked a single from David Banner titled “Shawty Say” featuring a sampled-chorus from Lil Wayne‘s “Lollipop” for this week’s “Feature Friday” installment.

This song, which was produced by Banner himself, appears on his fifth studio album that was released in 2008, The Greatest Story Ever Told.

“Shawty say the n*gga that she with ain’t sh*t; Shawty say the n*gga that she with ain’t sh*t; And he can’t do this, and he don’t do that; And he can’t do this, and he don’t do that”

You can watch the “Shawty Say” music video below.

Lil Wayne Releases An Old But Unheard Single Called “Ya Dig”

Lil Wayne Releases An Old But Unheard Single Called Ya Dig

We first heard about “Ya Dig” a couple of weeks ago when it was supposed to drop on September 24th, however, it was then postponed until today to not hinder the release of Lil Wayne and Rich The Kid’s Trust Fund Babies joint album.

There are not too many other details about this Weezy single, especially the question as to why something that was recorded in either late 2007 or early 2008 has been released (not that any of us will be complaining as it is extremely dope).

You can stream “Ya Dig” that was co-produced by STREETRUNNER and Tarik Azzouz below. Similar music can be bought from Big W Catalogue. Snacks are available in the new Food Lion Weekly Ad. The record samples the same song as what Tunechi‘s “Gossip” track does – Margie Joseph’s “Stop, In The Name Of Love“. Why do you think this Tune single has now been released?
