While on the American sports show, Weezy talked all about Green Bay Packers’ upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers, his NFL MVP favorites, Carson Wentz’s odds of winning in Seattle, the current competitive NBA market of Los Angeles, why he thinks LeBron James and the Lakers are the kings in L.A. right now, and more.

Kyle Shanahan Discusses Lil Wayne Sending Him & His Son Carter Surprise Gifts

San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan recently spoke on Lil Wayne sending him and his son Carter surprise gifts during a press conference, as well as if the origin of his son’s name is actually after Wayne.

The NFL coach revealed that Weezy‘s PR team reached out to wide receiver Pierre Garcon and asked him to give two signed posters and two signed CDs to his manager. Kyle also mentioned that it was really thoughtful Mr. Carter sent him the explicit version of Tha Carter IV and his son the edited version of Tha Carter III.

In May of this year, we found out that San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan named his son Carter after Lil Wayne, because he was “obsessed” with his music.

As soon as Weezy heard about this news, he sent Kyle and Carter signed copies of his Tha Carter III and Tha Carter IV albums, as well as gave them both posters with a personal message on them.

NFL Coach Kyle Shanahan Named His Son Carter After Lil Wayne

During this week’s episode of Simms & Lefkoe, which is a podcast by Bleacher Report, it was revealed that Kyle Shanahan named his boy Carter after Lil Wayne.

The host Chris Simms, who is good friends with the San Francisco 49ers coach and also a former NFL player, revealed this information after a photo showed Kyle and his kid hanging around with 50 Cent.

At the start of their conversation (1:50 mark), which you can watch below, Chris explained how Shanahan was always obsessed with Wayne during their NFL career and how he always played Weezy‘s music the most. Hit the jump to check it out!

Lil Wayne Chats About Super Bowl XLVII While On Set Of “Love Me” [Video]

While on set of the “Love Me” video shoot in Los Angeles, California, Lil Wayne talks to MTV about the Super Bowl XLVII taking place in his hometown New Orleans this weekend and who he thinks will win out of the Baltimore Ravens vs. the San Francisco 49ers.

“I’m excited for it to be in New Orleans, for the city, period. Just for the city to get that kind of respect and that recognition, after such a tragedy [like Hurricane Katrina].”

“I’m going to just chill with family, enjoy the game like everybody else. My team’s not in it, so I aint trippin’.”

This is also the first video we have seen of Weezy F Baby since he got the “Baked” tattoo on his forehead.
