Lil Wayne In The Studio Recording The Original Version Of “Hittas” & Playing It For Drake [Video]

Lil Wayne In The Studio Recording The Original Version Of Hittas & Playing It For Drake

Lil Wayne took to his Instagram page a few days ago to reveal some exclusive behind the scenes footage of him recording his “Hittas” song.

The clip shows Wayne recording the original version of Tha Carter V track before then playing it for Drake, who calls it an “anthem” and tells Tune that he needs to give him the session so he can record an alternative version to it.

It’s unknown if Drizzy did ever record another version or a remix of “Hittas“, but he does have one line on the 2018 version that we all heard: “Weezy, where you been? The people miss you”.

You can check out the behind the scenes video that was filmed by DJ Scoob Doo after the jump below! With the “To Be Continued” at the end, I wonder if we are about to get a C5 in the making documentary, or even the long-awaited The Nino Brown Story (Part 3)?

Preview An Alternative Version Of Lil Wayne Life Of Mr Carter Song

In September of last year, a Lil Wayne song called “Life Of Mr. Carter” featuring Christina Milian leaked online that was recorded for the original version of Tha Carter V.

Today, a snippet of another version of this track has surfaced online, which sounds like it has the same beat but different verses.

Check out this teaser in a clip after the jump below! “Life Of Mr. Carter” has been one of my favorite Wayne records in the past few years, what about for yourselves?

Lil Wayne – Heavenly Father [Mixed/Mastered]

Lil Wayne Heavenly Father Mixed & Mastered

We heard the CDQ version of Lil Wayne‘s “Pray To The Lord” track last week, and now the producer of the song STREETRUNNER has released a mixed and mastered version of Wayne‘s “Heavenly Father“.

Even though Tunechi‘s vocals are exactly the same as the “Pray To The Lord” record, “Heavenly Father” includes a totally different beat from STREETRUNNER. You will also recognize it as the same song that Fat Joe rapped over on his The Darkside Vol. 1 album in 2010, which just included the Tune hook. I’ll let SR explain it better:

“‘Heavenly Father’ is a alternate version to ‘Pray To The Lord’. I produced this version to give the song more of a epic feel. The ‘Heavenly Father’ track with just the hook featuring Lil Wayne later went on to become a Fat Joe song on The Darkside Vol. 1 album titled ‘Heavenly Father’. Here’s the mixed and mastered solo version of Lil Wayne’s ‘Heavenly Father’.”

Hit the jump to check out the solo alternate version of Weezy‘s “Pray To The Lord“, which is of course “Heavenly Father“. It was also mixed and mastered by Tommy Peluso!
