Isis Briones recently chopped it up with Ashanti for an interview with Forbes to promote her fashion collaboration with Miss Circle.
During their conversation, the New York singer and songwriter revealed that she is working with Lil Wayne on new music that could drop this year.

At midnight on September 27th until the early hours of September 28th, Lil Wayne celebrated his 36th birthday and the release of his Tha Carter V album with a party dubbed “Wayne’s World” at Hubble Studio in Los Angeles, California.
There were plenty of special guests at the soirée including Stevie Wonder, Chris Brown, Ashanti, Big Sean, Trippie Redd, Wiz Khalifa, Chevy Woods, Reginae Carter, Rae Sremmurd, Ray J, Timbaland, Shaggy, Draya Michele, Trey Songz, Tiffany Haddish, and his Young Money artists.
The event let guests eat traditional New Orleans food catered by Trap Kitchen, smoke marijuana, and show off their skateboarding skills on a skate ramp. There were also two goats in attendance at the party to pay tribute to the actual G.O.A.T. himself before he was presented with a three-tier birthday cake. Lil Wayne attended Ashanti‘s birthday celebration party at LIV nightclub in Miami, Florida on October 14th (and for his usual LIV on Sunday’s appearance).
While at the club, Weezy watched Ashanti perform live, as well as chilled while “Go Go Dancer“, “Duffle Bag Boy“, “Steady Mobbin’“, “Uproar“, “No Stylist“, “FEFE“, “Workin’ Me“, and more songs played in the background.

This is an amazing achievement and it also means that Weezy has tied with his Young Money artist Drake for the most simultaneous “Hot 100” debuts in a single week with 22 each.

During their conversation, the R&B singer-songwriter chatted about his relationship with Tunechi and revealed that his favorite collabo from them is “The Bandits“, which was never released officially. He also added that Tune freestyled his whole verse after one of his concerts in Atlanta and kept on rapping even after the beat ended.
