The RIAA Update Certifications For 7 Albums & 23 Singles By Lil Wayne

The RIAA Update Certifications For 7 Albums & 23 Singles By Lil Wayne

It’s about time! Lil Wayne‘s team have finally updated his certifications with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

I have listed the new Tunechi plaques for his albums and singles after the jump below. With “Lollipop” now being at 8x Platinum, I think it has a huge chance to be Tune‘s very first Diamond record.

PS: There has also been an image going around on social media with these new Weezy RIAA certifications, but there are 3 mistakes on it. I don’t know about you, but I hate how people rush to create things for likes and retweets without focusing on getting the correct information first. Then people will retweet without getting the facts themselves and spread more fake news around!

It’s that time of the week again! Today’s “Feature Friday” edition is a track from Bobby V called “Your Smile” featuring a intro and verse from Lil Wayne.

This Bob Robinson and Tim Kelley-co-produced song was released as a bonus song on the iTunes version of Bobby‘s third studio album, The Rebirth, which dropped back in 2008.

“Girl your smile make a nigga like vowels; Got me like wow, got me thinking: ‘wow!’; Throw away the lifestyles, got me thinking wife… child, all from a smile; A smile you can see for a mile, make her howl; So loud she don’t even make a sound, wow”

“Tha Carter III” Collaborators Discuss Lil Wayne’s Iconic Album

Tha Carter III Collaborators Discuss Lil Wayne Iconic Album

For the tenth anniversary of Tha Carter III on June 10th, Billboard asked a few of the people involved with the classic Lil Wayne album to speak all about it.

Producers Bangladesh, Play-N-Skillz, Dre from Cool & Dre, and David Banner, as well as singer Bobby V discussed how the C3 songs came together and what the album’s legacy is looking like.

You can check out everything what they all had to say below. My favorite story has to be Banner revealing how he originally created “La La” for the film Shrek, but Wayne was like: “Fuck Shrek! I want that!”
