Lil Wayne Models The BAPE x UGG SS19 Campaign [Photo Shoot + Interview]

Lil Wayne Models The BAPE x UGG SS19 Campaign

A Bathing Ape and UGG have partnered up together for their new spring/summer 2019 campaign and grabbed Lil Wayne for the face it.

At a mansion in Miami back in November, 2018, Tunechi participated in a photo shoot for BAPE and UGG‘s new collaboration. He had the following to say about working with the two brands:

“It’s an honor cause BAPE is one of the clothing lines that I still remember saving my money to buy. I still remember making sure nobody else I seen in my city got my hoodie. Now, they got me involved with it? Curren$y was into BAPE. He rocked it for real. But as far as what got me into it, I think just seeing it on Pharrell and being like: ‘What is that colorful camouflage? I need that.'”

“I was one of them who’d set out in them when they were saying it was only for girls. I’d step out in them and kick your day in your face with ’em.”

The line for the SS19 campaign that will be available at the end of this month includes three UGG footwear styles (the Classic Mini – $350, Neumel – $350, and Tasman – $275), a sheepskin Mouton Coat – $3,500, and a pair of mitten gloves – $180, which have all been designed with BAPE‘s famous camo print.

In April, Wayne will also collaborate with the two fashion brands again when A Bathing Ape and UGG release their second campaign that will include a sheepskin slide and sneaker. You can check out plenty pictures captured by Neil Favila of Tune modelling this first campaign below!

James Harden Teases Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter V” Album In The Same Way Floyd Mayweather Did

James Harden Teases Lil Wayne Tha Carter V Album In The Same Way Floyd Mayweather Did

Yesterday, James Harden shared a “V” image to his Instagram page with a caption reading “#13” along with a goat emoji.

This is exactly the same thing that Floyd Mayweather did last week, but his caption read “#21” instead. It’s not been revealed just yet exactly what these numbers mean, but it is definitely something to do with Lil Wayne‘s upcoming Tha Carter V album.

These posts from the professional basketball player and the former professional boxer are also very similar to the promo we got for C5 back in 2014 when Wayne had athletes, such as Kobe Bryant, posting about his project on social media.

The Houston Rockets NBA star has now deleted his Instagram post, which is just like what Mayweather did, but you can check out a screenshot below! What do you think the numbers mean?

Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter V” Album To Be Released On September 21st?

Lil Wayne Tha Carter V Album To Be Released On September 21

Back in 2014, Floyd Mayweather and Kobe Bryant promoted “Tha Carter V Season” by posting C5 promo covers on their social media pages and also previewing the “Believe Me” single featuring Drake.

4 years later on and it looks like the album campaign may be starting up again after Lil Wayne won his lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records a few months ago.

The current boxing promoter and former professional boxer has took to his Instagram page to share a “V” image with a caption saying “#21” and a goat emoji.

This could mean anything at all, but you would presume it likely means either Tha Carter V will drop later this month on September 21st, or at least a single off the upcoming album. The 21st is also a Friday and that is the day that albums and singles are now released on.

Wayne and Mack Maine have even both teased a “Mula Summer” and with projects from Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Jay Jones already out, it would make perfect sense to drop C5 right before the summer season ends on September 22nd. You can check out Floyd‘s post below! What do you think it means?

Lil Wayne Full Interview With Nightline, Talks About His Lyrics, Weed, Skating, Jail & More

We first saw a preview yesterday, and now here is Lil Wayne‘s full interview with Linsey Davis for ABC‘s Nightline show, which you can check out after the jump below.

During their conversation, Weezy spoke on people calling his music “vulgar” and “degrading”, if he would have a problem with someone calling his daughter Reginae a “bitch” or a “hoe”, his relationship with weed, skateboarding, what he learned from his time locked up at Rikers Island in 2010, and more.

At the end of the interview when Tunechi was asked about the Black Lives Matter movement, he explained why he doesn’t feel connected to it and then pulled out his red flag to say he is a gang banger and he feels connected to that. Tune also ended the conversation angrily by saying “I ain’t no fucking politician”!
