DJ Envy Reveals Lil Wayne Hit Him Up About Appearing On The Breakfast Club

DJ Envy recently mentioned Lil Wayne has hit him up as he wants to make his debut on Power 105.1 FM’s “The Breakfast Club” radio show for an interview.

The host revealed he has never really met or had a conversation with Wayne and that he did have an opportunity to interview him one time back when he did HOT 97’s morning show, but Weezy ended up leaving after being made to wait too long.

More than likely Tunechi wants to appear on “The Breakfast Club” to promote his upcoming album, Funeral, which currently has no exact release date. Tune also told Envy to tell Charlamagne that he knows he didn’t like his last album Tha Carter V and that he will work harder on Funeral!

Jay-Z recently sat down with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne to chop it up with Power 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club radio show in New York City.

During the interview, Jay talked about almost signing Lil Wayne to Roc-A-Fella Records and Birdman stopping the deal from happening. He also shared his thoughts on Weezy F Baby‘s diss about his wife on “It’s Good“.

Cash Money Records Issue Statement On Lil Wayne

Cash Money Records founders Bryan “Baby” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams have released a statement on Lil Wayne pleading guilty to felony gun possession and promised to continue supporting the rapper.

According to the statement, the duo’s close ties with Wayne will go unchanged in light of the rapper’s specualted one year jail sentence.

“The Cash Money family will continue to support our artist and friend Lil Wayne in his current court case. We have worked with Wayne since he was a teenager, and have seen him grow into one of the world’s most successful hip-hop artists, with a work ethic that is second to none.
