As 2020 comes to an end, I thought I would create a post on LilWayneHQ to see what your favorite solo songs and features are from Lil Wayne that have been released this year.

Similar to 2019, 2018, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, and 2012, please comment below with your top 10 favorite Wayne tracks and verses, but just remember that the record must have surfaced online this year (so the re-released versions of No Ceilings and FWA don’t count). As it is #ThrowbackThursday today, I have decided to share a rare video of Lil Wayne answering questions in the press room during the 2008 BET Awards.

In the clip, Weezy talks all about his Tha Carter III album, the recording process for his and Juelz Santana‘s I Can’t Feel My Face joint project, acting in the movie “Hurricane Season” (formerly known as “The Patriots”), rumors of him being in a “Fast & Furious” film, the “Lollipop” remix, tattoos, if he has reached the top of his game, and if he ever see’s himself retiring.

During their 20-minute conversation, Twizzy shares the story of how he got signed to Young Money after the second Lil Wayne concert in his hometown, as well reveals his Young Carter 2 project will be 14 songs long and include features from Wayne, Chris Brown, HoodyBaby, Jay Jones, and Poppy H.

Mack Maine Explains Why Young Thug & DaBaby Features Did Not Make Funeral + Reveals Lil Wayne Has Shot A Music Video For Mama Mia

Mack Maine recently chopped it up with Complex to share some details about Lil Wayne‘s brand new album, Funeral, which you can read in full below.

During their interview, Mack confirmed that Weezy was more involved with this project, they have already shot a music video for “Mama Mia” that is being directed by Mike Ho, there was a feature from DaBaby that didn’t make Funeral because of a clearance issue, and there was even a collaboration with Young Thug that was left off the album because Thug wanted to record fresh vocals.

The Young Money President also revealed why Funeral was a few hours late with its release, how he picked the tracklist for the project, how their relationship with XXXTentacion‘s family developed, why Tunechi first thought 21 Savage was a group, his vision for YM this decade, who is currently on the record label, Nicki Minaj‘s upcoming album, and much more!
