What a performance this was! Last night, Lil Wayne paid tribute to Kobe Bryant with a live performance at the 2020 BET Awards.
Wayne performed his “Kobe Bryant” song that was released back in 2009 live, but with a dope new verse.

Lil Wayne has been announced as a live performer for the 20th annual BET Awards.
As well as Weezy, there will also be performances from Alicia Keys, DaBaby, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, Summer Walker, Usher, and many more.
This year’s BET Awards, which will be hosted by Amanda Seales, will simulcast live on BET and CBS on June 28th from 8PM EST. Unfortunately, Tunechi did not receive any nominations at the awards show!
After first hearing about this collabo last month, Chris Brown has revealed the name of his upcoming song featuring Lil Wayne and also Joyner Lucas.
The track is called “Keep A Stack” and it will be released on Breezy‘s forthcoming Indigo album, due to be released later this month on June 28th.

Even though he was not in attendance, Lil Wayne won an award at the 2015 BET Awards, which took place on June 28th in Los Angeles, California.
Young Money’s Nicki Minaj, Wayne, and Drake plus Chris Brown all won a “Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award” for their “Only” collaboration.
Tunechi was also nominated for another 3 awards, but unfortunately didn’t win any of them. Congratulations on your award Tune!

Earlier today, the nominations for the 2015 BET Awards were announced. Lil Wayne was nominated a total of 3 times, or 4 times if you want to count Young Money‘s nomination in the “Best Group” category.
In the rest of the categories, Weezy was nominated in “Best Collaboration” and “Video Of The Year” for his feature verse on Chris Brown’s “Loyal” single, as well as “Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award” for his feature verse on Nicki Minaj’s “Only” single.
