Lil Wayne Joins Wilson Sporting Goods To Name His Top NFL & NBA Players

After partnering up with Wilson Sporting Goods for his Weezy Christmas event for kids last month, Lil Wayne also joined Wilson Football and Wilson Basketball for their debut episode of “4 Downs”.

In the video (watch below), Wayne picked his No. 1 quarterback (Aaron Rodgers), running back (Derrick Henry) and wide receiver (Justin Jefferson) to lead his fantasy team in the NFL. He shared his all-time starting 5 in the NBA too: Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Lebron James (who replaces Tim Duncan), and Shaquille O’Neal.

Tunechi also revealed what his most memorable NFL game is that he has seen live, which was when the New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl in 2010. The reason was solely because of his mother Cita as we know Tune is a big Green Bay Packers fan!

Lil Wayne Takes Part In The Celebrity Pick Party On NFL Slimetime

Lil Wayne takes a break from working in the studio on his upcoming Tha Carter VI album to make a virtual appearance on season 2 of Nickelodeon’s “NFL Slimetime” and participate in the “celebrity pick party” segment.

In the clip, Weezy picks his winners of three games (Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers and Cincinnati Bengals vs. New York Jets) against the “NFL Slimetime” hosts Nate Burleson and Young Dylan.

Episode 9 took place on Friday night (June 26th) of Lil Wayne‘s “Young Money Radio” show, which included special guests Jadakiss, Fabolous, Jack Harlow, Anuel AA, Gudda Gudda, Juelz Santana, Usher, Mannie Fresh, and Michael Thomas. You can check out videos of all of these conversations below.

During this show, Wayne chopped it up with both Kiss and Fab at the same time about how their families are doing, their latest projects, stories of the last collaborations they all did together (Jada says Tunechi finished his “Death Wish” verse before he finished rolling up), sending new music, and more. Back in May, I shared some footage of Lil Wayne being a correspondent for The Players’ Tribune, which took place during 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend earlier this year.

The Players’ Tribune have now released an official video of Wayne sitting down with NFL running back Alvin Kamara, WNBA athlete Essence Carson, and former NBA players Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington to interview them.

Some of the questions that Weezy asked included how Carson walks around New Orleans with no security, how Essence plans revenge, what Jackson and Harrington are up to nowadays, and more.

Comedians Theo Von & Chris DElia Speak On Lil Wayne

Theo Von had fellow comedian Christopher D’Elia appear on episode 104 of his “This Past Weekend” podcast a few days ago that you can check out below.

At the 13:40 mark of their conversation, Theo asked Chris if he has ever met Lil Wayne before then telling a story about a New Orleans Saints after-party he went to about 15-years ago, which had other celebrities there such as the Kardashians, and watching Wayne perform live with Mannie Fresh in an astronaut suit.

D’Elia revealed he would love to meet Tunechi and that he thinks a lot of people look like Tune from New Orleans. Theo, who grew up in Louisiana, also added that he has heard so many interesting stories from back in the Hot Boys days about Weezy and B.G.!
