Lil Wayne recently sat down on a yacht in Miami with Jamila Mustafa from MTV’s Fresh Out show for a one on one interview, which you can check out after the jump below!

During their conversation, Wayne chatted about why he moved to Miami at 19-years-old, why he doesn’t miss high budget music videos from back in the day, what made him decide to appear on “The Masked Singer“, wanting to get Nicki Minaj on the competition TV show, why he decided to lock his hair, and his favorite part of being a father.

The Young Money CEO also talked about his record label, the most proudest moment of his career so far, if he ever asks the question “why me?”, how he stays relevant in different eras, his passion for creating music, new generation rappers, his Mama Mia” music video, not knowing anything about “Harry Potter”, wanting to work with Lizzo, working on and recording a total of 53 songs in just one night, and much more!

During their interview, Mack confirmed that Weezy was more involved with this project, they have already shot a music video for “Mama Mia” that is being directed by Mike Ho, there was a feature from DaBaby that didn’t make Funeral because of a clearance issue, and there was even a collaboration with Young Thug that was left off the album because Thug wanted to record fresh vocals.

The Young Money President also revealed why Funeral was a few hours late with its release, how he picked the tracklist for the project, how their relationship with XXXTentacion‘s family developed, why Tunechi first thought 21 Savage was a group, his vision for YM this decade, who is currently on the record label, Nicki Minaj‘s upcoming album, and much more!

Drake Recalls Always Wanting To Be As Important As Lil Wayne, Discusses His Work Ethic & Confirms He Is Not Directly Signed To Young Money Any More

For a surprise on Christmas Day, RapRadar and TIDAL released a brand new 2-hour interview with Drake that took place at his amazing new home in Toronto, Canada.

At the start of their conversation, Drizzy revealed that his goal at first was to be as important as his “mentor” Lil Wayne and that he does not think anyone in music before or after will ever have the same work ethic as what Wayne has.

After talking about Tunechi‘s “most insane work ethic”, the 6 God then recalled witnessing Tune record 4 – 5 classics in one night and seeing Kobe Bryant walk in on the tour bus during his very first meeting with Weezy to get an early release of Tha Carter III on an iPod.

Later on in the interview, Drake mentioned Lil Wayne will always be one of his favorite music artists, how a lot of things changed when he went to jail in 2010, how Wayne doesn’t listen to no other artists when he is in album mode, and confirmed he is not signed to Young Money any more.
