NLE Choppa recently appeared on Power 105.1 FM’s “The Breakfast Club” radio show to chop it up with DJ Envy and Charlamagne Tha God about his new album, Cottonwood 2.

At the 16:30 mark of their conversation, Choppa revealed how the “Ain’t Gonna Answer” collaboration came to be by producer Ben Billions pulling up the beat with a “Back That Azz Up” sample. He then recorded one verse and left the second verse open for Lil Wayne. Two months later, Wayne sent the verse back.

Also in the interview, NLE talked about first meeting Tunechi in person on set of the “Ain’t Gonna Answer” video shoot, being in shock meeting him, growing up watching and admiring Tune, writing him a letter of appreciation and giving him flowers to say thank you for being an inspiration on his life, what his reaction off camera was like, why he thinks Weezy is the greatest of all time, and how Mr. Carter is a mentor to him now.

The Memphis rapper even played a game of VERZUZ with Envy between Lil Wayne and 50 Cent. The choices they put together are: “21 Questions” vs. “Mrs. Officer“, “What Up Gangsta” vs. “Steady Mobbin’“, and “I Get Money” vs. “Lollipop“. You can check it all out below!

2 weeks after talking about if he will be involved with Tha Carter V or not, B.o.B stops by Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club radio show to answer various questions from DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Angela Yee.

At the 18:10 mark of the interview, which you can watch below, B.o.B announces that he has an “exciting” song with Lil Wayne on his upcoming album that will drop in Spring 2015. He even said that Tune has not rapped like he does on the verse “in a minute”.

Charlamagne then asks a question “do people still get excited over Wayne features and verses?” To which B.o.B replies with “this Wayne feature they will”. He also mentions that the Weezy F Baby verse is “special” and that he is “shocked” Weezy gave it him!

During a studio visit, Lil Wayne revealed to Detail a treatment that he had written for the clip. “Wayne wrote every scene: He told me scene by scene by scene,” the producer said to MTV News. “It’s gonna have a big, big, big effect, and it’s going to shock you because the perspective you might look at it as. He kinda tapped into a different perspective of the song and gave a different enlightenment on how you can consider a girl and how they’re in a forever pursuit trying to find love.”

Detail didn’t want to give too much away, but was so excited by Wayne’s treatment that he is already looking forward to crossing rap’s boundaries and attending some very different events. “After he showed me the video concept, it’s like, ‘Yo, dude, we’re gonna be at the Country Awards with this record,’ ” Detail said, laughing. “We gonna be sitting next to Taylor Swift.” – MTV
