Calboy Confirms Lil Wayne Did Not Charge For “Miseducation” Feature + More [Videos]

Calboy Confirms Lil Wayne Did Not Charge For Miseducation Feature + More

Just like last month, here are two more Calboy interviews where he speaks on Lil Wayne.

In the first clip around the 3:15 mark, which you can watch below, the Chicago rapper chats to DJ Superstar Jay from Shade 45 radio all about his “Miseducation” collaboration with Wayne.

For the next video at 6:00, Calboy chops it up with DJ Smallz about how he originally missed an Instagram DM from Tunechi for 4-5 months, chatting on FaceTime with Tune, participating in a swap for swap verse with him (meaning there is still an unreleased song from them in the vault), and confirms Mr. Carter did not charge for the feature!

Rich The Kid has been teasing something in the works with Lil Wayne all the way since 2018 when he first hinted at dropping a collaboration album with Wayne.

Over the past year, Rich has also been regularly changing his profile picture on his social media channels to photos of Tunechi, praising Tune on social media, playing snippets of their unreleased music, shooting music videos for songs such as “Feeling Like Tunechi“, and skateboarding together.

Last month, the Rich Forever Music CEO took to his TikTok page to show footage of him inside Weezy‘s private studio in Miami with the caption: “What have I & Lil Wayne been working on for so long ?”. So what do you think? Do you think the two of them are getting ready to release a joint project?

Calboy Reveals What Advice Lil Wayne Gave Him To Stay Relevant For A Long Time

Calboy Reveals What Advice Lil Wayne Gave Him To Stay Relevant For A Long Time

Calboy recently chopped it up with HipHopDX to speak about his relationship with Lil Wayne after Wayne had reached out to him on Instagram, which he nearly missed.

“What’s crazy about the Wayne situation is he reached out to me on Instagram. That’s when I felt like: ‘Man, I’m lit. Wayne reached out to me.’ He was like: ‘Yo, you fire, shorty. What’s the situation like?’ But I didn’t see his DM for like four, five months, bro. It’s just sitting in my DMs, and I didn’t see it and it’s a DM from Wayne [laughs].”

After Calboy discussed how himself and Tunechi built up a connection from there, he then went on to talk about Tune‘s influence on him:

“We was just talking about all type of stuff. He was going through the legal situations before he got pardoned by Trump, so I’m like: ‘Man, I’m sending my prayers to you, bro. Blessings. Keep your head up.’ He’s like: ‘Oh, I definitely need them, bro.’ He just wanted to see what type of person I was, and we just locked in from there. Every time I heard a Wayne project, I’m like fixing to go to the studio. Like that man turns you up like: ‘No, I got to go rap, bro. This man going crazy.’ That was my whole entire life just watching him snapping.”

The Chicago rapper also disclosed some of the advice that Weezy had gave to him about staying relevant long-time, as well as recalled Mack Maine telling him Mr. Carter needs two different assistants, due to his insane work ethic!
