Young Thug Wants To Do A VERZUZ Battle With Lil Wayne & Shows Off His Wayne Tattoo On His Arm

A few days ago, we first saw Young Thug share the story of how Lil Wayne ignored him when they met for the very first time, and now we can check out Thug‘s full interview on episode 93 of Gillie Da King and Wallo267‘s “The Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” podcast.

Inside their conversation, Thugger mentioned his dream opponent in a VERZUZ battle would be Weezy: “It would probably have to be like [Lil Wayne]. Because you got to think… we got to talk about influence. We got to talk about everything. We got to talk about everything. It’s not just about no rap. You got to understand, as rapper, as hip-hop artists, you can only go so far. I always just focused on the next level.”

Young Thug Recalls First Meeting Lil Wayne & How He Was Ignored

Young Thug is the special guest on episode 93 of Gillie Da King and Wallo267‘s weekly “The Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” podcast.

In a sneak peek of their conversation, which you can watch below, Gillie asks Thugger about the first time he met his idol Lil Wayne to which Thug says Wayne ignored him.

“The first day that nigga didn’t goddamn dap me up. Tried me. That nigga tried my pimping… left me hanging.”

I’m sure everyone is well aware of the problems that went on with Weezy and Thugger a few years back, such as Tha Barter 6 project, but I think it’s fair to say their beef is over now especially after Thug was featured on No Ceilings 3!

Lil Wayne Reveals His Top 5 Rappers, Why He Made Best Rapper Alive, Working On Old School Hip-Hop Beats For His Next Project & More

Lil Wayne was the special guest on episode 1 of DJ Khaled‘s brand new podcast dubbed “The First One“, which premiered on Amazon Music.

During their 45-minute conversation, Weezy spoke on his very first rap group with B.G. called The B.G.z, going by the name Baby D, first meeting Birdman, his “Block Burner” song, being influenced by Missy Elliott in the Hot Boys days, and more.

Around the middle of the discussion, Tunechi revealed he has been sent 3 old-school hip-hop beats to spit over for his next project (presumably No Ceilings 3) and 2 of them are: “Ether” by Nas and “Takeover” by Jay Z. However, after a quick Google, Tune realized he already did a freestyle over “Ether” on SQ1.

Wayne also talked about his favorite verse, his top 5 rappers, his top 5 anthems, the “We Takin’ Over” verse, creating the “Best Rapper Alive” song off Tha Carter II album, his The Suffix mixtape that was hosted by Khaled, and confirmed there will be another album in Tha Carter series. Yesterday, Lil Wayne joined Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe as a special guest on their UNDISPUTED sports talk TV show.

While on the show, Tunechi told the story once more about how a white cop he calls Uncle Bob saved his life when he shot himself over mental health issues whereas the black cops all jumped over him looking for the gun. Tune then went on to say that the same white cop Uncle Bob was the one who arrested his “father” Birdman and put him in jail for years.

Yesterday, Lil Wayne made his very first appearance on Instagram Live (even though he has been on it before for Young Money Radio) by being a special guest on Fat Joe‘s new podcast titled “The Fat Joe Show“.

During their 28-minute conversation, Tunechi spoke on what age he first started rapping, shooting himself by accident, a white police officer named Uncle Bob who was off duty saving his life, meeting him years later in a restaurant, and what he thinks about the horrible murder of George Floyd by four cops in Minneapolis.

Weezy also discussed being locked up in Rikers Island for 8 months, getting his “never quit” attitude and drive from Birdman at a young age, his influence being the #1 Stunna, putting Drake and Nicki Minaj on, what he taught his son Kameron Carter after Nipsey Hussle was murdered, how proud he is about influencing a whole new generation of rap, an upcoming collaboration he has with Lil Uzi Vert, being the first to do the “rock-rap” genre of music, attending the late Betty Wright‘s funeral, performing “Sweet Home Alabama” with Kid Rock at the Country Music Association Awards, and much more!
