T-Pain Explains Why Lil Wayne Isnt Releasing New Music & Reveals Why He Dropped T-Wayne

T-Pain recently sat down with Micah Peters from The Ringer for a one on one interview to speak on his and Lil Wayne‘s T-Wayne collaboration project, which you can check out below.

During their conversation, Pain spoke on why he decided to finally put out T-Wayne after 9 years, the hand drawn artwork for it, the recording process, what his relationship is like with Tunechi right now, the Willy Wonka sample on “Listen To Me“, and knowing the project is old when you can hear Tune referencing a Sidekick phone in one of his verses.

The singer-songwriter also explained Weezy‘s current record label situation with Cash Money Records by confirming that Wayne can release as much music as he wants, but the people that would benefit from the music are not people he wants to benefit from it!

There is a total of 8 songs on the joint project including 4 tracks we have never heard before and one of them is over Nicki Minaj‘s “Did It On ‘Em” beat.

T-Pain Hints At Releasing His & Lil Wayne T-Wayne Collaboration Album

T-Pain went on his social media pages last night to tease his and Lil Wayne‘s upcoming collaboration album, T-Wayne, which has been in the vault for around 8 years.

The Nappy Boy Entertainment founder revealed the alleged artwork for the joint project (see above) and wrote the following message:

“This ain’t for y’all new niggas. These the lost files from ’09 and I’m tired of em just sittin on my hard drive. #FreeC5”

What are your thoughts on the T-Wayne cover and do you think the album will drop soon? Maybe Pain could put it out how 2 Chainz released his and Tunechi‘s ColleGrove album by making Tune a feature on every song!

The Jim Jonsin and Bigg D-co-produced song, which samples Keith Sweat’s “How Deep Is Your Love” track, can be found on Mike‘s The Voice album that was released back in 2008.

Birdman Speaks About Lil Wayne On Big Boy Neighborhood & ESPN Highly Questionable Shows, Wayne Takes A Shot

Birdman sat down with Big Boy on his Neighborhood show in Los Angeles, California yesterday to chat about his situation with Lil Wayne, him and Wayne throwing around $100,000 in strip clubs, growing up, going to jail, his relationship with Drake and Nicki Minaj, and more.

During the conversation, Baby revealed that he has not spoke to Tunechi in about a month, but they still see each other every day at the studio. He also mentioned that their current situation is “not serious”, he still loves Tune to death, and he never wanted the music business to mess up his relationship with his “son”.

Also yesterday, Birdman made an appearance on ESPN‘s Highly Questionable sports show and went into more detail about T-Pain’s story of himself and Wayne betting $10,000 on video game matches in Madden. Weezy must of been watching the show as he went on Twitter to send a shot: “highly questionable is hiiiiiighly questionable today”. You can check out the 2 interviews below!
