Lil Wayne Issues A Statement About Why He Never Performed Live At The Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. Fight

Lil Wayne Issues A Statement About Why He Never Performed Live At The Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr Fight

The reason Lil Wayne never performed live at Mike Tyson’s comeback fight against Roy Jones Jr. on November 28th was due to an “unrelated 3rd party”.

In a statement co-issued from Triller and Weezy, there was a 3rd party who tried to involve themselves in the production process between the video-making/social-networking service and the Young Money CEO:

“Unfortunately there was an unrelated 3rd party who attempted to insert themselves in the production process between Triller and Lil Wayne the night before the event and the morning of and it unfortunately caused enough of an issue that Wayne couldn’t perform.”

However, Tunechi says he “was truly disappointed he was precluded from performing by the 3rd party” and promises to perform live at “Triller’s next fight card.”
