Lil Wayne’s Gun Charge Sentencing Has Been Pushed Back

Lil Wayne Gun Charge Sentencing Has Been Pushed Back

It looks like Lil Wayne will have to wait a couple of months before he is sentenced for illegally carrying a gun on his private jet at the end of 2019.

According to AllHipHop, Wayne‘s attorney Howard Srebnick has claimed the January 28th sentencing date given at the virtual court hearing just over a week ago was too ambitious.

The lawyer has been successful in submitting a new request to the United States District Court for the Southern District Of Florida asking for Tunechi‘s sentencing date to be pushed back to early March.

Tune could face up to 10-years behind bars for his gun possession by a convicted felon charge, but there is a possibility of a reduced sentence, due to him pleading guilty.

Even though there has not been a date confirmed by the judge as of right now, Howard has suggested that Weezy should be sentenced on the afternoon of either March 2nd, 4th, 9th, or the 11th. I will update this post when the date gets confirmed! The new sentence date is March 4th!

Tunechi pleaded guilty to the gun possession by a convicted felon charge by telling the judge over a virtual hearing in a Miami federal court: “Your honor, I plead guilty”.

The sentencing for Weezy is scheduled for next month on January 28th, 2021 and unfortunately, he faces up to 10 years in prison, due to having a previous gun charge from over 10 years ago. However, the punishment may not be as harsh as that after taking responsibility!

Martin Shkreli Has To Forfeit Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter V” Album To The Federal Government

Martin Shkreli Has To Forfeit Lil Wayne Tha Carter 5 Album To The Federal Government

At the end of 2017, prosecutors asked the court in Martin Shkreli‘s legal case to retain Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter V album, which he ended up getting his hands on by buying it off the person who bought Wayne‘s Bugatti as he accidentally left it in the CD slot.

Yesterday, a judge by the name of Kiyo Matsumoto ruled that Shkreli must forfeit $7.36 million to the federal government (Weezy’s C5 album, Wu-Tang Clan’s Once Upon A Time In Shaolin album, a Pablo Picasso painting, an Engima machine from World War II, $5 million in cash in an E-Trade brokerage account, and his stake in the drug company Vyera Pharmaceuticals) as part of his upcoming criminal sentence!

What do you think this means for the fifth installment in Tunechi‘s Tha Carter album series?
