Lil Wayne Joins Wilson Sporting Goods To Name His Top NFL & NBA Players

After partnering up with Wilson Sporting Goods for his Weezy Christmas event for kids last month, Lil Wayne also joined Wilson Football and Wilson Basketball for their debut episode of “4 Downs”.

In the video (watch below), Wayne picked his No. 1 quarterback (Aaron Rodgers), running back (Derrick Henry) and wide receiver (Justin Jefferson) to lead his fantasy team in the NFL. He shared his all-time starting 5 in the NBA too: Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Lebron James (who replaces Tim Duncan), and Shaquille O’Neal.

Tunechi also revealed what his most memorable NFL game is that he has seen live, which was when the New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl in 2010. The reason was solely because of his mother Cita as we know Tune is a big Green Bay Packers fan!

LPB Poody recently participated in an interview with DJ Mad Max on his “Sports And Hip-Hop” show that you can watch below.

At the 4:30 mark of their convo, LPB spoke about Lil Wayne‘s influence on himself and how his main Wayne era was from the Hot Boys onwards plus Tha Carter.

Later on in their conversation at the 7:40 mark, Poody revealed how his Tunechi feature on the Batman” remix came about and mentioned Tune sent the verse back to him straight away.

The Orlando rapper also discussed the “I paint her whole face white just like the Joker” bar, Weezy reaching out to him after the collaboration about working together again, and why Mr. Carter is the “Michael Jordan of Rap”!

Yesterday, Lil Wayne joined Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe as a special guest on their UNDISPUTED sports talk TV show.

While on the show, Tunechi told the story once more about how a white cop he calls Uncle Bob saved his life when he shot himself over mental health issues whereas the black cops all jumped over him looking for the gun. Tune then went on to say that the same white cop Uncle Bob was the one who arrested his “father” Birdman and put him in jail for years.

For episode 5 of the “Young Money Radio” show on Apple Music on May 22nd, Lil Wayne chopped it up with YBN Cordae, Skip Bayless, Ludacris, Quavo, Takeoff, Offset, and Mike Tyson. You can watch highlights from their conversations in the videos below.

After paying tribute to his Dedication 2 mixtape for the 14th anniversary, Wayne chatted with Skip about the NFL Draft and “The Last Dance” miniseries on Michael Jordan, as well as with Cordae about sitting in the crowd next to Kobe Bryant at a tennis game. The North Carolina rapper also told Weezy how much of an influence he has been on him and said he will be sending him a song for him to kill.

Mr. Carter then spoke to Ludacris about their new SOTL” single, why he carries on creating music after accomplishing so much, the formula to being legendary instead of just temporary, and more. Even though we first thought Mike couldn’t make it on the show, he appeared last minute to discuss how he used to hang with the Cash Money Millionaires back in the day.

While talking to the Migos trio, Tunechi revealed he will be releasing an animated music video for his “I Don’t Sleep” song featuring Takeoff off the Funeral album soon. They also asked Tune if he remembers their unreleased “Fantastic” collaboration to which he replied with send him something new to record, and called him the G.O.A.T. numerous times. Quavo even mentioned that Lil Wayne was the one who inspired him to finish school!
