Lil Wayne Meets Colby Covington + Jams Out To Seeing Green & Bill Gates At LIV

On Sunday, August 14th, Lil Wayne hosted an event at LIV nightclub in Miami, Florida for “LIV on Sunday’s”.

While at the club, Wayne was spotted greeting mixed martial artist Colby Covington, who we already know is a big fan of the rapper.

Weezy also performed his “Steady Mobbin’” single live, as well as jammed out to “Bill Gates” and “Seeing Green” with DJ Scoob Doo, Mack Maine, Allan Cubas, and Gudda Gudda.

Colby Covington sat down with Kyle Forgeard, Bob Menery, Aaron Steinberg, and SteveWillDoIt for an episode of the FULL SEND Podcast that you can watch in full below.

At the 41:45 mark of their conversation, Colby revealed the best text message he received after his win against Jorge Masvidal was from Lil Wayne, who he also called the “greatest rapper alive” and the “best rapper alive”, before then playing the hilarious voice message.

The American mixed martial artist then went on to discuss how he first met Wayne, why he thinks Wayne is a fan of him, being told he will be featured on Wayne‘s next album, and that Wayne will walk him out at his next fight!

Tunechi spoke on what it is like for him to know someone personally who is about to perform at one of the highest levels in sport and listen to his music beforehand. They are of course talking about mixed martial artist Daniel Cormier, who walks out to Tune‘s “Right Above It” featuring Drake.

Mixed Martial Artist Daniel Cormier Talks Lil Wayne Tha Carter V Album, Reveals His Favorite Songs

A couple of months ago before UFC 230, Robbie Fox from Barstool Sports sat down with American mixed martial artist Daniel Cormier for a one on one interview.

If you didn’t already know, every time Cormier walks to the UFC ring for a fight, he comes out to Lil Wayne‘s “Right Above It” single featuring Drake off his I Am Not A Human Being album.

While talking about this in their conversation around the 7:15 mark, the former Olympic wrestler was also asked what his thoughts are on Weezy‘s new album Tha Carter V to which he answered “it was real good” and “worth the wait”.

Daniel went on to reveal that his favorite songs off C5 are “Mona Lisa“, “Dark Side Of The Moon“, “Dedicate“, “Uproar“, and even the “I Love You Dwayne” intro from Tunechi‘s mother Cita. You can check out their interview in the video after the jump below!
