Lil Wayne Releases A 6-Song EP Called “Thief In The Night”

Lil Wayne Releases A 6 Song EP Called Thief In The Night

After first hearing about this a few days ago, Lil Wayne has released a 6-song EP on streaming services titled Thief In The Night.

Unfortunately, there is no new music on this EP as it consists of 6 older Weezy songs that have already been released on his past albums over the years: “Mona Lisa” featuring Kendrick Lamar, “So Special” featuring John Legend, “She Will” featuring Drake, “I’m Single“, “Pussy Monster“, and “Demon“.

You can stream Thief In The Night below. Currently, there has been no announcement about why Tunechi and his team decided to drop this EP, but I will update this post when there is one. Why do you think this project has been released? I also believe we can be expecting another one of these EPs tomorrow too!

The RIAA Update Certifications For 7 Albums & 23 Singles By Lil Wayne

The RIAA Update Certifications For 7 Albums & 23 Singles By Lil Wayne

It’s about time! Lil Wayne‘s team have finally updated his certifications with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

I have listed the new Tunechi plaques for his albums and singles after the jump below. With “Lollipop” now being at 8x Platinum, I think it has a huge chance to be Tune‘s very first Diamond record.

PS: There has also been an image going around on social media with these new Weezy RIAA certifications, but there are 3 mistakes on it. I don’t know about you, but I hate how people rush to create things for likes and retweets without focusing on getting the correct information first. Then people will retweet without getting the facts themselves and spread more fake news around!

Lil Wayne & Eminem Talk Googling Their Own Lyrics To Make Sure They Don’t Repeat Them + More

Lil Wayne & Eminem Talk Googling Their Own Lyrics To Make Sure They Don't Repeat Them + More

Last night, episode 3 of Lil Wayne‘s “Young Money Radio” show aired live on Apple Music and one of the special guests was none other than Eminem, who Wayne introduced as one of his “fellow G.O.A.T.s” and “favorite people”.

During their conversation, Weezy chatted to Em about what he is currently doing in quarantine, “The Last Dance” documentary miniseries, what new artists he is listening to, if Ken Kaniff is still alive (lol), what inspiration he has for music nowadays, and how he is giving back to Detroit health care workers by distributing “Mom’s Spaghetti”.

Tunechi and Slim Shady revealed that they both have to Google their own lyrics to make sure they haven’t said them in the past, as well as how they try to please both their core fanbase and their new generation fans. The Detroit rapper also praised Tune for his last couple of albums and his storytelling on “Mona Lisa” by saying it has “to be one of the top 5 verses of all time”.

You can check out Mr. Carter and Eminem‘s conversation on “Young Money Radio” after the jump below! As a big fan of both of these rappers, it was great to see how well the two of them got on. I just wish they talked about or mentioned a new collaboration!

Everything You Need To Know About The Original Version Of Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter V” Album After The Leak

Everything You Need To Know About The Original Version Of Lil Wayne Tha Carter V Album After The Leak

A couple of days ago, a lot of the songs (20 in total) from Lil Wayne‘s original Tha Carter V album surfaced online. I was not going to make an article about this, but too many people are hitting me up asking about it, so I’ve decided to do what I did when the Velvet Sessions project leaked online.

Due to copyright laws, I cannot post the tracks on this website, but for those who have heard the music, I will list what has changed on each record. If you recall back to 2014, CV was originally due to drop back then, but with the long lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records, Wayne ended up re-recording the album and releasing it in 2018.

The full versions of “Mute” featuring a dope verse from Big Sean and “No Brainer” featuring a dope verse from Flow are also included in this new leak. I always tell people that Tunechi‘s best music in my personal opinion seems to be more his leaked music over official releases and hearing songs like “Life Of Mr. Carter“, “Scottie Pippen” and the hilarious “Form Good” confirms this statement even more for me.

You can check out exactly which tracks leaked from the original Tha Carter 5 project below! From the tentative tracklist we received in 2014, this now just leaves “Start This Shit Off Right” with Christina Milian and Mannie Fresh, “She Said Better Get ‘Em“, “Grindin” with Jeezy and Young Thug, “Brad Pitt” with B.o.B, “Mano Y Mano” with Gudda Gudda, and “Murda” with Flow as unreleased. If you have heard the OG C5 album, how did you like it and did you prefer it more than the official version we got nearly a year ago?
