For #ThrowbackThursday today, check out this hilarious Lil Wayne vlog from the “Weezy Blog” days back in 2008 where he endorsed Nelly.

Weezy talks to the camera about how he was the only rapper featured on Nelly‘s debut studio album, Country Grammar, in 2000 (“For My“) and charged nothing for it.

The Jason “Jay E” Epperson-produced track appears on the St. Louis rapper’s album, Murphy’s Law, which was released back in 2003.

Ludacris Debuts New Silence Of The Lambs Collaboration With Lil Wayne Produced By Timbaland

During his “Verzuz” battle against Nelly on Instagram Live last night (May 16th), Ludacris debuted a new collaboration with Lil Wayne called “Silence Of The Lambs“.

The rapper and actor only played half the song on Insta Live, but he did reveal it was produced by Timbaland and the two of them could release a joint project at some point as they have so many unreleased tracks together.

Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson recently chopped it up with Jayson Tatum for episode 35 of their “All The Smoke” podcast (see below), which is of course the same podcast Lil Wayne appeared on last month.

Around the 54:00 mark of their interview, Jayson was asked about music and went on to name his top 5 music artists. Weezy, who the professional NBA athlete called a G.O.A.T., was mentioned in this list along with JAY-Z, Drake, The Notorious B.I.G., and Nelly.

Not long after this conversation, the Boston Celtics player was asked which music artist he would love to have name-drop him in one of their songs and he answered with Tunechi or Yo Gotti. He then added it would be great to hear Tune reference his name on one of his next mixtapes like a Dedication 7!

During their conversation, Twizzy discussed his feature on Lil Wayne‘s “Ball Hard” song off Funeral, how the verse came about after Wayne paid a visit to Los Angeles to pick up some weed, their “Popular” collaboration off I Am Not A Human Being, never dropping the “Love Affair” remix with Weezy and Nelly, earning a co-sign from Birdman, witnessing Nicki Minaj record in the studio, and his favorite Tha Carter album.

The YM artist also talked about his relationship with Justin Bieber, being blessed by Tunechi with Young Money chains at “Lil Weezyana Fest”, and his Young Carter mixtape was due to be released while locked up in prison but Cortez Bryant‘s “timing is fucking horrible” and “bad”. He also confirmed Tune will have a couple of features on his forthcoming Young Carter 2 project!
