Lil Wayne Releases 3 New Bonus Songs From Tha Carter V Featuring Post Malone & Gucci Mane

As a surprise, Lil Wayne has released 3 brand new bonus tracks on iTunes from his latest album, Tha Carter V.

One of these songs is “In This House” featuring Gucci Mane, another one is “What About Me” featuring Post Malone, which was initially supposed to be the case instead of Sosamann, and the final one is “Hasta La Vista“, which is produced by Tay Keith and is different than this version we heard earlier this year.

Lil Wayne To Headline The 2018 Rolling Loud Music Festival In Los Angeles

Rolling Loud have announced the official lineup for their upcoming two-day music festival at the Banc Of California Stadium (Los Angeles FC’s home ground) in L.A. this December (14th and 15th).

Lil Wayne and Post Malone will headline the Friday show, while Cardi B and Lil Uzi Vert will headline the Saturday concert. There will also be live performances from Young Thug, 21 Savage, Chief Keef, Wiz Khalifa, Trippie Redd, Ty Dolla $ign, Famous Dex, Tyga, Kodak Black, Nipsey Hussle, Gunna, Lil Yachty, Juice WRLD, Rich The Kid, and more.

Lil Wayne What About Me Off Tha Carter V Was Initially Supposed To Feature Drake & Post Malone

On the day that Tha Carter V was released, the manager of Post Malone hinted that the singer and rapper had submitted vocals for Lil Wayne‘s album at the last minute. However, when C5 dropped, Malone was nowhere to be heard on the project.

The co-writer of Wayne‘s “What About Me” song, Johnny Yukon, has come out in an interview with Rolling Stone to reveal Tunechi had told him via e-mail messages in 2015 that he originally wanted Drake to record a verse on the song.

Even though he is not sure what happened, Yukon mentioned that Weezy found out this week that Drizzy was not going to be on the song after all and so Tune‘s team decided to try and get another rapper, which was Post Malone.

Post did end up hitting up the studio and recording something for Tha Carter V last minute, but something went wrong with the delivery and so there wasn’t enough time to include his verse on the album. “What About Me” can still be found on C5, but it only features Sosamann! I wonder if the version with Malone will ever be released?

After performing live at Combsfest during the 2018 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on April 13th, Lil Wayne then headed to a Diplo and Post Malone set.

Tunechi chopped it up with the American DJ and Posty, which was actually their first time meeting, before then performing “I’m Goin’ In” live in Bermuda Dunes, California.

Last month, Baby E confirmed that he would be featured on Lil Wayne and DJ Drama‘s forthcoming mixtape, Dedication 6, on social media.

The Young Money artist has now revealed to WDGU on Instagram (see proof below) which song him and Tunechi have remixed for D6.
