Pusha T Discusses Lil Wayne vs Birdman, Reveals Why He Would Sign Wayne To GOOD Music

Pusha T recently sat down with Complex for a one on one interview. At the 20:55 mark, Pusha shared his thoughts on the Lil Wayne vs. Birdman situation before then being asked if would ever sign Wayne to GOOD Music now that he is the president of the record label.

The former Clipse member revealed that as president of GOOD Music he would indeed sign Tunechi, because he thinks that Tune and the label’s production house would make awesome music, as well as that he knows Kanye West likes him.

You can check out the conversation in the video after the jump below. This is also not the first time that Pusha T has said he wants Weezy on GOOD Music as he tweeted Mr. Carter an invitation to join the label last year.

In related news, you can also check out another recent Pusha interview below where he chats to DJ Envy and Angela Yee on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club radio show about more or less the same subjects as the Complex interview. Go to the 8:00 mark to hear him discuss Lil Wayne!

Mack Maine Speaks On Lil Wayne’s “My Homies Still” Single & Beef With Pusha T

Young Money President, Mack Maine, recently spoke to MTV’s Rob Markman over the phone about Lil Wayne‘s new single “My Homies Still” featuring Big Sean and Wayne‘s beef with Pusha T. He confirms that “My Homies Still” is the first single from Weezy‘s upcoming I Am Not A Human Being II album and that the song was made way before the situation with Big Sean‘s G.O.O.D Music label-mate, Pusha T.

Mack also spoke on what made Tunechi finally respond back to Pusha with a track called “Goulish“. The reason was because Tune was getting fed up of Pusha sending little shots in his recent songs at his artist and friend, Drake. He then went on to compare Pusha T to a fly: “In a nutshell, if a gnat or a fly keep flyin’ around you, eventually you gonna swing and swat it, and just get it out the way. Sometimes you swat it and the gnat dies; sometimes it just go away. You can keep flyin’, just fly somewhere else though. We chillin'”. Macknupid made sure it was known that it is not crew beef between YMCMB vs. G.O.O.D Music too!

In other news, hit the jump to watch some NS4W footage of Lil Wayne at King Of Diamonds strip club in Miami last week for Memorial Day Weekend with DJ Khaled, Diddy, French Montana, Birdman, Gucci Mane, Jim Jones, Busta Rhymes and more.

Mack Maine Speaks On Lil Wayne Wanting To Retire

Mack Maine Speaks On Lil Wayne Wanting To Retire

Earlier this year, Lil Wayne told Hot 97 and XXL that he would retire from the music game in his early 30’s to become a better father to his kids. Obviously none of us fans want to see him leave the music game, but does the Young Money President and best friend of Tunechi think the same ❓ Check out what Mack Maine told XXL Magazine below:

“As far as that retirement goes, I don’t know what he’s talking about,” YM President Mack Maine told XXLMag.com. “I’m not trying to hear that… I mean technically he can. We paved the way where Young Money the brand is gonna be so big. And he’s done so much where he can just tour. But I know his love and passion for the music…. I also know he has love and passion for his kids and family and he sacrificed a lot of this life we living. So at 30, if he says he wants to hang it up and be a family and a businessman, I wouldn’t be mad at it. He’ll be like 18, 19 close to 20 years in the game. And have put out that many albums. He’ll be a vet at a young age. It’s not like we’re gonna need to put out albums, it’s just the passion. Can you walk away from it?”

Mack Maine Says Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV Album Is Nearly Finished

Mack Maine Says Lil Waynes Tha Carter IV Is Nearly Finished

XXL Magazine recently spoke to the Young Money President Mack Maine about Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter IV album. Mack says C4 is nearly finished, Weezy worked with someone on the album he has never worked with before, they just finished shooting the “6 Foot, 7 Foot” music video which took 4 days, producers Detail and Swizz Beatz will be on the album, and more. I’m guessing the Swizz Beatz record will be the Anne” one he spoke about a while back. You can read the interview below:

“I was in the studio all night workin’ on this Carter IV,” the Young Money President told XXL. “We pretty much finished, to be honest; we probably need about two more songs. We got David Banner coming in tonight, so hopefully he’ll come with somethin’. We try to make sure—he kind of makes every album. He made Tha Carter III, and made We Are Young Money.”

As for features on the disc, aside from Nicki and Drake, Mack remained tight lipped, though he did hint at a surprise. “I’m gonna keep the features a surprise,” he said, before revealing that Weezy “just did something with somebody he never worked with, though.”
