Mike Banger Reveals Lil Wayne Has Unreleased Music With Michael Jackson & Dr Dre

Lil Wayne‘s former recording engineer Mike Banger recently participated in a Q&A (question and answer) session with a Lil Wayne Discord server that you can read in full below.

If you were not already aware, Banger is a RIAA-certified, multi-Platinum and Grammy award-winning recording engineer that has recorded and mixed numerous Tunechi projects including Tha Carter IV, Rebirth, I Am Not A Human Being 1 and 2, We Are Young Money, Sorry 4 The Wait, Dedication 4 and 5, and No Ceilings etc, as well as also produced a few tracks for Tune.

In their interview, Mike talked about Wayne‘s recording process, the difference between Wayne being high and sober in the studio, what percentage of Wayne‘s music actually gets released, and witnessing Wayne record “6 Foot 7 Foot” straight from prison, as well as everyone being out of their minds from mushrooms for the “No Worries” session. He also revealed Weezy has unreleased music with both Michael Jackson and Dr. Dre!

Towards the end of last year, Lil Wayne‘s former RIAA-certified, multi-Platinum and Grammy award-winning recording engineer Mike Banger sat down with Art Morera to appear on episode 46 of the Media Noche Podcast.

If you didn’t already know, Mike has recorded and mixed numerous Tunechi projects including Tha Carter IV, Rebirth, I Am Not A Human Being 1 and 2, We Are Young Money, Sorry 4 The Wait, Dedication 4 and 5, and No Ceilings etc, as well as also produced a few songs for Tune.

In this 1 hour and 30 minute interview, Banger spoke about numerous things such as working with Lil Wayne, witnessing the pressure of Wayne having the “Best Rapper Alive” title, first starting as an intern for Mr. Carter around Tha Carter days (recalls buying him Popeyes in the middle of the night), and much more. The parts about Weezy start from the 19:40 mark and last throughout the whole conversation.

PS: “YM Banger” from I Am Not A Human Being was named after Mike Banger because he produced, recorded and mixed all of the song himself!

Tez mentioned that once Drizzy Drake and Lil Wayne started making music together, he knew it was a wrap. KY also recalled Wayne telling him to record Drizzy after they just had a 16-hour studio session on the tour bus and after he heard the 6 God rap in the booth before getting ready to leave, Weezy decided to unpack his stuff and rap again!

Lil Wayne & His Mixing Engineer Hype Up The Free Weezy Album

Lil Wayne‘s mixing engineer, Fabian Marasciullo, has showed off a screenshot which he says he never normally does of a text message conversation that he had with Wayne yesterday on his Instagram page.

Looking at the messages, Fabian tells Tunechi that he can’t mix his Free Weezy Album today because he is too busy just listening to the vocals, as well as “this is what the world needs” and how the music is “fuckin’ amazing”.

For the caption of the conversation screenshot, which you can see below, Fabian says: “I can’t wait for you guys to hear this. It’s like a mike Tyson 1988 uppercut, maybe like watching Jordan in the 88 slam dunk contest when He launched from free throw line, maybe how Chris Paul felt a couple weeks ago? I dunno. Shout out to TUNE #FWA”.

If this wasn’t enough to get you hyped for the Free Weezy Album, the YM CEO even went on his Twitter a few days ago to tweet: “I honestly gotta say that this #FWA album is my best work yet! I won’t let u down as a fan. Dis sh!t is a beast! Ok let me get bak 2da booth”!
