First Week Sales For Lil Wayne No Ceilings Project

The first week sales for the re-release of Lil Wayne‘s No Ceilings mixtape are in!

According to HDD, the project did what it was projected to move and sold a total of 24,879 units in the first week of being re-released with 3,393 of those being pure sales.

No Ceilings also debuted at #14 on Rolling Stone’s “Top 200 Albums” chart. What do you think of the first week sales numbers?

The College Park rapper also spoke on if he was “pissed off” that Kendrick Lamar dropped his Untitled project on the same day as ColleGrove, the artwork for ColleGrove, recording the project as a dedication album for Tunechi, and recalled Tune thanking him for letting him have his cup in the “Duffle Bag Boy” music video!

Folk Rock Band The Lumineers Reveal How They Drew Inspiration From Lil Wayne

The Lumineers recently did an interview with Rolling Stone about managing sudden fame and how they are dealing with the pressure to release their second album.

In the interview (see below), the folk-rock band mentioned that they drew inspiration from Lil Wayne to set up a portable recording studio on their tour bus as they tour nearly 300 days a year.

We of course seen Tunechi recording “Over You” off Rebirth while on his tour bus in his VH1: Behind The Music documentary back in 2009, as well as also the recent clip of Tune on his studio bus revealing he was about to record a feature for Chance The Rapper.

Lil Wayne Speaks On Birdman Feud, The Free Weezy Album, Retirement & More

In a new interview, Lil Wayne has finally spoken on the current situation between himself, Birdman, and Cash Money Records. Weezy has confirmed that him and Baby are no longer on speaking terms and explained what he meant with his “I am a prisoner” tweet at the end of the last year.

Tunechi also revealed that his Tha Carter V album was finished “some time ago”, but he can’t drop that right now, so he has been working everyday on his The Free Weezy Album that he says will be released for free in March.

Before wrapping up the interview, Wayne mentioned that he is a fan of the younger rappers like Migos and Rae Sremmurd, but he is feeling old when listening to them, as well as if he still plans to retire.
