Lil Wayne Talks “Tha Carter V”, Attempting Suicide, Retirement, Young Money & More In Billboard 2018 Fall Issue

Lil Wayne Talks Tha Carter V, Attempting Suicide, Retirement, Young Money & More In Billboard 2018 Fall Issue

Lil Wayne graces the front cover of Billboard‘s Fall issue, which will be available on newsstands September 15th.

For his cover story, Weezy spoke on a lot of things including Tha Carter V, his children, tweeting, 2 Chainz’ wedding, seizures, features, Nicki Minaj, suicide, retirement, greatness, Drake, and more.

One interesting part from the story is that they reveal the outro on Tunechi‘s C5 album will be about attempting suicide and it will sample British R&B singer Sampha’s “Indecision” song:

“When he was 12, Wayne came across a gun in his mother’s house and shot himself in the chest, just missing his heart. In the past, he has called this an accident. But on the new verse he plays, Wayne admits this was a suicide attempt, undertaken after his mother told him he would no longer be allowed to rap. The track, which samples British R&B singer Sampha’s brooding but hopeful 2013 song ‘Indecision’ and will be the album’s outro, was on the original album tracklist, but Wayne added new lyrics this summer, following the suicides of designer Kate Spade and celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain.’

Also during their conversation, we get confirmation that Young Money Entertainment now solely belongs to Tune, but their distribution deal with Republic Records remains in place. You can check out some excerpts from the interview and pics from the photo shoot below!

Lil Wayne Appears On Skip And Shannon UNDISPUTED, Talks Green Bay Packers, Kyrie Irving, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons & More

A couple of days ago, Lil Wayne made an appearance on “Skip And Shannon: UNDISPUTED” to chat with Skip Bayless, Shannon Sharpe and Joy Taylor.

While on the sports talk show, Weezy revealed how he became a Green Bay Packers fan when he is from New Orleans (again), why he was never a New Orleans Saints fan, getting flak/stick from N.O. residents, not liking the Atlanta Falcons in any way, Kyrie Irving leaving LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, and more.

You can check out Tunechi‘s appearance and interview on “Skip And Shannon: UNDISPUTED” in the clips after the jump below!

Fabolous Tells The Hilarious Story Of How Lil Wayne Was Supposed To Be On His “Ghetto Fabolous” Album [Video]

Fabolous Tells The Hilarious Story Of How Lil Wayne Was Supposed To Be On His Ghetto Fabolous Album

Last week, Fabolous made an appearance on Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club” radio show in New York City to chop it up with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God that you can check out in the video below.

It was the 15th anniversary of Loso‘s debut studio album, Ghetto Fabolous, earlier this month so it was only right that he spoke on it. At the 32:15 mark of the clip, Fab was asked by Charlamagne what happened to Lil Wayne being a feature on the project and why the song never came out.

This is then when Fabolous tells the hilarious story of how Wayne and Cash Money requested their to be 4 bottles of Cristal champagne at the studio for when they come through, which had him thinking that they were all going to chill and pop champagne at the studio, but it didn’t turn out like that. Weezy pulled up, did his verse in 30 minutes, grabbed the 4 bottles, and then left haha!

Lil Wayne & Drake Are Shooting An “I’m Going In” Music Video

Lil Wayne & Drake Are Shooting An I'm Going In Music Video

Just before Drake goes in for knee surgery, he will shoot a music video for his single “I’m Going In” featuring Lil Wayne, which will be on the re-release of So Far Gone.

Lil Wayne and Drizzy are set to shoot the music video this month in Buffalo, New York. They also have a concert nearby on August 27 in Darien Center, but I am not sure if Drake will be performing that night.

I am also not sure if Young Jeezy will be joining them in the video either, because on the re-release of Drake‘s So Far Gone which is in stores September 15th the song only features Lil Wayne on the tracklist. This might mean Drake has added an extra verse to the track or the song is just cut shorter. You can see the covers of the upcoming re-release of So Far Gone here.

Anyone else excited ❓ 😀
