During his interview, Weezy chatted to Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe about how his new Green Bay Packers theme song came about, why he took his time recording it, the Packers vs. Los Angeles Rams NFL game that took place yesterday, and more.

Lil Wayne Releases New Green Bay Packers Theme Song Green And Yellow

We first got word about this a few months ago, and now Lil Wayne has released his brand new theme song for the Green Bay Packers.

Just like with his previous freestyle back in 2011, Tunechi samples Wiz Khalifa’s “Black And Yellow” single.

“I did a song before and we had a good turnout. It was successful. We had good results and we’re trying to do it again this time. I took a lot of time into it. I worked on it for three days, too. I don’t do that.”

For episode 24 of Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson‘s “All The Smoke” podcast, they had Lil Wayne as the special guest and chopped it up with him for around 25-minutes. At the start of the video, Stack called Wayne the “best rapper of all time” and his “favorite rapper” while towards the end, Matt mentioned he named one of his sons “Carter” after Tha Carter III album.

During their conversation, which you can watch below, Weezy spoke on how his family are currently doing with this coronavirus lockdown, how he has “been self-quarantining for years”, his mother Cita and brother Semaj being in New Orleans where the virus is “really bad” at the moment, N.O. legend 5th Ward Weebie possibly passing away from this virus, and maybe recording a theme song for “All The Smoke“.

Tunechi also revealed he is hitting the studio up everyday while in lockdown, has an unreleased song with a bar saying “ballin’ like Stack Jack”, his sports knowledge comes from his grandma Mercedes Carter, he used to play American football back in the day, how Kobe Bryant made an impact on him, his current favorite NBA players, he is currently listening to Lil Baby, XXXTentacion and Young Dolph, and wanting to do a live concert from home with 5-6 unreleased songs!

In episode 4 of UNDISPUTED‘s “#SkipRidesTheTrollerCoaster” series, which lets Skip Bayless answer questions that he could never answer on the sports show, the American sports columnist explains where his nickname “Drip Bayless” came from.

Skip reveals the background of his nickname first started in July of this year when his “close friend” Lil Wayne gifted him, Shannon Sharpe and Jenny Taft each with a necklace that had their names on, which left him “shocked” and “honored”.

“He [Lil Wayne] simply has the biggest, greatest heart of any human I have ever encountered. I do trust him and count on him as a very close friend. My wife Ernestine has gotten to know him and is actually becoming friends with Wayne’s lady. The bond is pretty deep.”
