Lil Wayne Postpones Solo Australian Tour Dates

Lil Wayne Postpones Solo Australian Tour Dates

I previously posted last month that Lil Wayne will be headlining his own solo tour in Australia, now Weezy has postponed these shows due to scheduling conflicts. Wayne was supposed to perform in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne, but his his promoter sent out this statement earlier today:

“Lil Wayne will be unable to arrive in Australia as early as originally planned, therefore regrettably having to postpone his solo performances.”

The promoter also said Tunechi will return to Australia for his own headlining tour sometime in 2012, but for the people who purchased tickets to these shows, you will automatically be refunded. Tune will still be performing in the Outback for Eminem’s shows at Melbourne Etihad Stadium on December 1st and at Sydney Football Stadium on December 2nd.

Birdman Says Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV Is Still Coming December 15

Cash Money Records CEO Birdman spoke exclusively to MTV.co.uk this week, revealing Lil Wayne’s album plans for 2009. And in a change to expected plans, it seems both Tha Carter 4 and Rebirth are due to drop this year, as Baby explained:

“Tha Carter 4 is out December 15th, we won’t release The Rebirth as a double CD like people are saying. Both will be out before 2010. We’re looking to take over the game completely, flood the market. The Grammy’s are ours next year.”

So it looks like we will still be getting Tha Carter IV, but just not as a double disc with Rebirth. I’m not sure what to think as we still haven’t heard a single from Carter 4 or Rebirth yet, but December 15th will be a crazy day if Rebirth, Tha Carter 4, and the Young Money Compilation all come out. Also, check out the video below where Birdman speaks about Jay-Z being #1 on the MTV’s Hottest MC list and more:

A Lil Wayne representative has released a statement to SOHH regarding the rapper’s unexpected cancellation of this week’s Canada tour dates and claimed it was due to medical reasons.

According to Wayne‘s camp, the tour will continue this Thursday (August 20) in Denver, Colorado.

“Lil Wayne, due to illness, was advised by his doctors to cancel the Young Money Presents: America’s Most Wanted Music Festival tour stops in Western Canada. The tour, headlined by Lil Wayne featuring Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy, Pleasure P and Jeremih, was scheduled to come through Vancouver and Edmonton on August 17th and 18th.
