More Details, Release Date & Commercial For Lil Wayne's 25-Piece Collaboration With American Eagle

We first got word of this collaboration last month and saw a preview of the collection earlier this month, and now more details about Lil Wayne‘s upcoming “Young Money” fashion line with clothing brand American Eagle have been announced.

For the back-to-school season, AE and Weezy will be releasing an exclusive 25-piece tie-dye and color-blocked collection of t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, jeans, socks, boxers, hats, chains, skate decks, and more. The price of these products will range from $8.00 to $100.00.

The collection will debut and drop next month on August 10th with American Eagle revealing the full line on July 30th. You will be able to find the items in all AE stores, as well as on their official online website. In a statement to WWD, Tune had the following to say about his latest clothing line:

“I know my fans wear and love the brand, so we came together to co-create a collection that blends my personality with American Eagle’s iconic style. We designed the AE x Young Money collection with purpose and pride. Whether it’s my music or my style, I have always used both as an outlet for creativity and to live my truth – without apologies. American Eagle gets it. The brand celebrates individuality and to me that’s something I want to be a part of.”

Lil Wayne Performs Live At The 2018 A3C Festival Before He Was Forced To Stop & Leave The Show [Videos]

Lil Wayne Performs Live At The 2018 A3C Festival Before He Was Forced To Stop & Leave The Show

Yesterday, Lil Wayne headlined the 14th annual A3C Music Festival & Conference at the GA Freight Depot in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to a reader of LilWayneHQ.com who was in attendance, Weezy was forced to stop the show and leave the scene just 12 minutes into his set after a huge fight broke out in the crowd.

While he was flying back to Miami, Tunechi did go on Twitter to tweet: “Hope everyone at A3C is safe!! [prayer emoji]”. The A3C Festival organizers have also released a statement on the situation:

“Sadly, there was an altercation tonight that ended Lil Wayne’s performance. We are still collecting information to determine exactly what happened and will provide follow up information as soon as we know more details. Please be assured that law enforcement officers present have confirmed there were no weapons involved. This was a very unfortunate way to end what had been an otherwise amazing week of music, friendships, and connections. Thank you to everyone for your amazing support and positive energy all week. We love y’all.”

Below, you can check out some footage of Trina being rushed out of the event, as well as clips of Wayne performing “Mr. Carter“, “Got Money” and “I’m Goin’ In” live, courtesy of the bro Corey!

Lil Wayne’s Lawyer Confirms He Is Now A Free Independent Artist Who Owns All His Rights

Lil Wayne's Lawyer Confirms He Is Now A Free Independent Artist Who Owns All His Rights

First thing’s first, I want to give a huge shout out to all of the real fans who have stuck with Lil Wayne as he has gone through this situation that felt never-ending with his record labels!

After we first heard about Wayne winning his legal battle with Universal and Cash Money Records a few days ago, Mr. Carter‘s attorney Ron Sweeney has given a statement to Billboard about the case:

“Per our settlement agreement, the matter has been amicably resolved to the satisfaction of all parties. In terms of the particulars, we’re prohibited legally from saying anything further. I can say that my client is happy. He is his own man, a man that owns his assets, his music and himself. At some point, Wayne will let his fans know what’s going to happen next.”

This confirms that Weezy has reached a settlement with Cash Money, which means he is now a free independent artist who owns his rights again (but he is still cool with Birdman). However, the lawsuit is not fully closed yet.

If you didn’t already know, Sweeney has been Tunechi‘s main lawyer for 13 years and he hired Howard King to litigate this case against Universal and CM. I guess we now just have to wait for Tune to make an announcement on what we can expect next from him! Maybe he will say something later today at Summer Jam?

Rolling Loud Organizers Explain Why Lil Wayne Cancelled His Set At The Miami Music Festival

Organizers For Rolling Loud Explain Why Lil Wayne Cancelled His Set At The Miami Music Festival

As we know, Lil Wayne was a no-show at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on May 13th for this year’s Rolling Loud music festival, which he was a headliner for.

A lot of people thought Tunechi didn’t want to turn up to the show as there was bad weather and he attended LIV on that same evening, but organizers for Rolling Loud have confirmed the reason that Tune didn’t show up was because he “fell unexpectedly ill”.

You can read the full statement and also see what Weezy had to say about not taking the stage on Sunday after the jump below!
