Gabby Douglas Has Lil Wayne & Drake On Her Training Playlist

Gabby Douglas recently told MTV at the premiere of Justin Bieber’s Believe documentary that she listens to a lot of Lil Wayne and Drake music while she works out and trains. The Olympic Gold Medalist also explained that Weezy and Drizzy‘s music gets her hyped, but she only listens to the clean versions of their rap songs.

“A lot of rap music. Lil Wayne and Drake, the edited versions of course, but it gets me really hyped up.”

If you didn’t already know, Gabby Douglas is the very first African American gymnast to win a solo Olympic gold medal. In 2012, Wayne also tweeted how proud he was of Gabby for winning her medal: “Glad i lived to see what Gabby Douglas did in the Olympics. Icon.”

Feature Friday #7: Playaz Circle – Duffle Bag Boy (Remix) (Feat Lil Wayne, Juelz Santana & Birdman)

Playaz Circle Duffle Bag Boy Remix Feat Lil Wayne, Juelz Santana & Birdman

For this week’s “Feature Friday” installment, I have chosen Playaz Circle‘s “Duffle Bag Boy” official remix featuring Lil Wayne, Juelz Santana, and Birdman. This song was both recorded and released in 2007.

I’m sure everyone has heard of the original classic “Duffle Bag Boy” track, but maybe not the remix, which features new verses from everyone including one from Weezy F Baby who also performs the hook.

“And no disrespect to the lil’ ladies; But fuck nine months, I hustle all year baby; Aww yeah baby, I know you lovin’ that; DB with a DB, dope boy with a duffle bag”

2 Chainz, or Tity Boi as he was known as back then, also starts off his verse by quoting Wayne‘s “I am the beast, feed me rappers or feed me beats” line off “We Takin’ Over“. You can listen to the “Duffle Bag Boy” remix below!
