Gudda Gudda Talks Different Eras Of Young Money, First Meeting Lil Wayne, Sqad Up, Wayne vs Birdman Public Feud & More

Gudda Gudda recently chopped it up with Lalaa Shepard in a virtual interview for a new edition of The Progress Report’s “Conversations With Lalaa”.

During their conversation, Gudda spoke on taking a hiatus from music, being influenced by the Hot Boys, how COVID-19 has affected him, New Orleans, if B.G. is free from prison, Cash Money Records, the different eras of Young Money, if he feels he is underrated, surviving Hurricane Katrina, what the word “progress” means to him, and fatherhood.

Double G also recalled his first time meeting Lil Wayne, why they decided to call their rap group “Sqad Up” (it involved Wayne wanting something to tattoo on his knuckles as he liked how Mobb Deep did that), Sqad Up being a clothing line at first, and supporting Weezy through his public feud with Birdman and Cash Money. In a recent interview with Mikey T The Movie Star of Report Card Radio, Philadelphia’s very own RJ Payne discussed Lil Wayne and Eminem both revealing that they know about him and his music.

The Griselda affiliate explained that because he now he knows G.O.A.T.s like Weezy and Slim Shady are watching, it motivates him to go even harder with music and other work.

“I can’t even put that into words what it feels like to have the G.O.A.T.s know what I do and who I am without selling out.”

Even though he has never met Tunechi or had Tune reach out to him, RJ did also mention what inspiration he drew from this recent acknowledgement. Check it out below!

Tunechi also said: “I annihilate that guy” when asked who he thinks is better rapping out of himself and Drizzy, as well as confirmed that Tha Carter V is finished, he is working in the studio every single day, and he is currently working on a deal to release his C5 album!

Five days ago, we saw an interview Kid Ink did were he discussed Lil Wayne giving him a shout out on Twitter for his “Like A Hott Boyy” song. Now here is a new interview Ink did with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club that included him speaking a bit more on Wayne acknowledging him for the first time.

Kid mentioned that he has not yet downloaded Tunechi‘s Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape and he did reach out to Tune to try and get on the project, but he was 2 days late. He also added that him and Weezy are going to try and work together on a next project.
