Meek Mill Shows Love To Lil Wayne On ESPN First Take Sports Show

Earlier this week on December 4th, Meek Mill paid a visit to ESPN’s “First Take” sports television show to promote his new album, Championships.

During his appearance, Stephen A. Smith made a top 5 list of rappers that he thinks makes the biggest impact among NBA players in the locker room. This list included JAY Z, Drake, Migos, The Notorious B.I.G., and Tupac Shakur.

When Stephen sat down, Meek mentioned that Lil Wayne should of been on this list before Max Kellerman then said the same. Mill also revealed that Wayne is in his top 3 of all time list. You can check out what went down in the video after the jump below!

Music Artists, Athletes & Producers Tease Lil Wayne Tha Carter V Album

As we are approaching Lil Wayne‘s long-awaited Tha Carter V album, I thought I would make a post of all the music artists, producers and athletes who have been recently teasing the project.

We have already seen Floyd Mayweather and James Harden promote C5, and now Wale, Iamsu!, Odell Beckham Jr., Cool & Dre, Metro Boomin, and Vinylz (produced “Believe Me” with Drake) have all hinted at the album on their social media pages.

Lil Wayne Young Money Sports Agency Obtains Competing Management Group

Lil Wayne has announced that his Young Money APAA sports agency has bought PlayersRep Sports Management, which was a competing agency that mainly represented American football players.

Since starting his own agency last year, Weezy has signed plenty of athletes including linebackers Reggie Northrup and Duke Riley, defensive lineman Lewis Neal, wide receiver Dede Westbrook, and basketball players Andrew White, Braylon Rayson, Frank Mason, and Kadeem Allen.

With his new acquirement of PlayersRep Sports Management, the Young Money APAA sports agency will now handle more clients including NFL’s Jason McCourty (Cleveland Browns), Todd Davis (Denver Broncos), Duron Harmon and Devin McCourty (New England Patriots), Seth Roberts (Oakland Raiders), and Lane Johnson (Philadelphia Eagles).

This new deal will allow Young Money APAA Sports to expand it’s offices from Dallas to Chicago, Cleveland and North Carolina. Tunechi also went on Twitter to tweet about this new deal by saying: “Stok’d about this acquisition!”

Lil Wayne set up his own sports agency earlier this year called Young Money Sports, so that he can help the athletes he signs off the field with their marketing and branding.

Colleen Dominguez from Bleacher Report sat down with Weezy a few months ago to ask him what made him decide to start up a sports agency, what he thinks he specifically brings to the athletes he signs, why he signed American football linebacker Reggie Northrup, and more.

Lil Wayne visited ESPN last night (February 16th) to make an appearance on SportsCenter and chop it up with Stan Verrett for a one on one interview, which you can check out below.

Weezy spoke on a number of topics like his Super Bowl 50 commercial with George Washington, Beyonce‘s live performance at halftime of the Super Bowl, why he thinks the criticism around Cam Newton is “wack”, ice hockey player Alexander Ovechkin, how he finds time to watch so much sports, who his good friends are that are athletes, and more.

Also during their conversation, Tunechi discussed not knowing that the song he performed with 2 Chainz on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” 2 days ago is called “Rolls Royce Weather Everyday“, shooting a video with Chainz for another song off ColleGrove, and Von Miller sending him a video of himself in his kitchen bumping No Ceilings right before the Super Bowl game!
