Turk Says Lil Wayne Would Beat Anyone In A “Verzuz” Battle If It Was Based On Music Catalogs [Videos]

Turk Says Lil Wayne Would Beat Anyone In A Verzuz Battle If It Was Off Music Catalogs Alone

Taking to his Instagram Live, Turk makes sure everyone knows that Lil Wayne could go up against anybody in a Verzuz battle and win if you’re going off music catalogs alone.

Turk says Tunechi‘s discography from The B.G.z and when he was going by the name of Baby D to all the way to now is so good that it will beat any other rapper, such as Jay Z, Eminem, T.I., The Game, and Busta Rhymes.

The YNT founder even says if you put all of the other rappers’ catalogs together whether they are old school or new school, it would still not come close to Weezy‘s discography. He also added that if you want to do groups, the Hot Boys would win against anybody. You can check out 2 videos of Turk discussing this below! Do you agree with him?

Lil Wayne Reveals His Top 5 Rappers, Why He Made “Best Rapper Alive”, Working On Old-School Hip-Hop Beats For His Next Project & More

Lil Wayne Reveals His Top 5 Rappers, Why He Made Best Rapper Alive, Working On Old School Hip-Hop Beats For His Next Project & More

Lil Wayne was the special guest on episode 1 of DJ Khaled‘s brand new podcast dubbed “The First One“, which premiered on Amazon Music.

During their 45-minute conversation, Weezy spoke on his very first rap group with B.G. called The B.G.z, going by the name Baby D, first meeting Birdman, his “Block Burner” song, being influenced by Missy Elliott in the Hot Boys days, and more.

Around the middle of the discussion, Tunechi revealed he has been sent 3 old-school hip-hop beats to spit over for his next project (presumably No Ceilings 3) and 2 of them are: “Ether” by Nas and “Takeover” by Jay Z. However, after a quick Google, Tune realized he already did a freestyle over “Ether” on SQ1.

Wayne also talked about his favorite verse, his top 5 rappers, his top 5 anthems, the “We Takin’ Over” verse, creating the “Best Rapper Alive” song off Tha Carter II album, his The Suffix mixtape that was hosted by Khaled, and confirmed there will be another album in Tha Carter series. The “Feature Friday” edition for this week is a song from The B.G.z called “Fuck Big Boy” featuring Tec-9. In 1995, B.G. aka Lil Doogie and Lil Wayne aka Baby D formed a group called The B.G.z when they were in the very early years of their music careers.

This Mannie Fresh-produced track, which is a diss records towards New Orleans record label Big Boy Records, appears on the B.G.‘s True Story album that was released back in 1995 on Cash Money Records.

“Try to knock out B.G., I’mma spray a nigga; Swear to God you was hard, but you don’t want none of me; Cause I’m a little-bitty killa off Apple & Eagle; So put two and fall, see I ain’t with that boy; Cause all I do is grab my .9 and break a nigga off; Somethin’ proper, I will make you droppa; I’m a baby gangsta, not no P-poppa”

Lil Skies Takes A Quiz On His Idol Lil Wayne

Lil Skies recently appeared on Genius‘ “The Genius Test” series to take a quiz on one of his biggest influences in music – Lil Wayne, which you can watch below.

At the start of the video, the Pennsylvania-born rapper called Tunechi “the G.O.A.T.” and revealed how Tune influenced him to be himself in his music. If you recall back to last year, Skies paid homage to Wayne with his “A Milli“-inspired music video for “Welcome To The Rodeo“.

Some of the questions that Lil Skies got right included finishing the lyrics off from “6 Foot 7 Foot“, which artist is not signed to Young Money, how old Mr. Carter was when he first recorded under the name of Baby D, what was the title of the Destiny’s Child single that Weezy appeared on, and more.

Skies got a total of 76% on this quiz and some of the questions which he got wrong were: the title of Lil Wayne‘s debut studio album, which DJ hosted the Dedication mixtape series, what project Wayne released exclusively on TIDAL, and listing as many Weezy and Drake songs that he could in under 15 seconds!
