Nearly 9 years after hearing the full version of this Lil Wayne song titled “30 Minutes To New Orleans“, the official tagless version has been released.

We first heard a preview on Wayne‘s The Carter Documentary in 2009 before the BP of The Olympicks-produced track dropped on Mack Maine‘s The Laxative mixtape with DJ Ill Will tags.

Even though there have been no DJ edits of “30 Minutes To New Orleans” online, the official no DJ is now available. You can stream this record after the jump below, courtesy of DJ Folk!

Production coordinator DJ Folk wrote an article for DJ Booth after Lil Wayne‘s Tha Carter V album was released to talk about his work on the project, as well as how it felt seeing C5 on hold with the Wayne vs. Birdman lawsuit.

In the article, Folk revealed why some of the songs that we have heard snippets for, such as “Life Of Mr. Carter” (prod. P.C.), “Kidnap Cupid” (co-prod. Megaman and Zalezy), and “World On My Shoulders” (prod. BP) did not make Tha Carter V.

DJ Folk also mentioned that he sent Weezy the “Gotti” and “Hittas” beats, which were produced by Jayones, in the same e-mail back in late 2013, so he is glad that he is now a part of the album with A&Ring “Hittas“. You can read everything that Folk said below!

On Saturday evening, Lil Wayne stood in the crowd watching The Weeknd‘s live show at the James L. Knight International Center in Miami, Florida. Also standing in the audience watching the live performance with Tunechi was Marley G, Detail, and BP.

PJ Morton actually debuted the official “Lover” music video during his show at the Canal Room in New York City on August 8th with his YMCMB label-mates. He also told me that the video should be premiering online at the end of this week!
