Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne Hit Up The Studio To Work On Star Line Gallery Album

After Lil Wayne brought Chance The Rapper out during his concert at the Radius in Chicago on April 9th, the two of them hit up the studio together.

In their studio session, Tunechi and Chance were working on new music for Chance‘s forthcoming second studio album, Star Line Gallery, which is due to be released next year (2024).

Lil Eazzyy recently sat down with Cam Capone News for a one on one interview that you can watch below.

Around the 15:30 mark of their convo, Eazzyy was asked about which music artists influenced him who he listened to while growing up.

After the host talked about how he grew up on old-school rappers and has noticed a lot of younger rappers are calling Lil Wayne the G.O.A.T., the Chicago rapper then had the following to say:

“That is the G.O.A.T., that’s the G.O.A.T. for real. Yeah, that’s my generation’s G.O.A.T. for sure, I was locked in on Wayne, he probably was my first… I didn’t really think about Wayne, him and [G] Herb, that was my first artists I started picking up on.”

Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne Perform No Problem Live At NBA All Star Game

The following day after performing with Damian “Dame D.O.L.L.A.” Lillard on February 15th, Lil Wayne hit the stage with Chance The Rapper at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Chance brought out Wayne, who was rocking pants created from Kobe Bryant jerseys, to perform their “No Problem” collaboration live during the halftime show at the 69th annual NBA All-Star Game.

During his verse, Weezy switched up the lyrics a little bit to pay tribute to Kobe and his daughter Gianna after they passed away from a helicopter crash less than a month ago: “Rest in peace to Kobe Bryant and his daughter, blood”.

On February 15th, Damian Lillard aka Dame D.O.L.L.A. brought out Lil Wayne and Jeremih during his 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend set at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The rapper/NBA player and Weezy performed their “Run It Up” collaboration off the Confirmed album live, which also makes it the very first time these two have both appeared on stage together.

“D. Lill in the building, he one of us; Number 8 24, put your numbers up”
