Man Who Allegedly Shot Up Lil Wayne’s Tour Bus Has Had His 20-Year Sentence Overturned

Man Who Allegedly Shot Up Lil Wayne Tour Bus Has Had His 20-Year Sentence Overturned

Back in 2015, Jimmy Carlton Winfrey aka Peewee Roscoe pleaded guilty to the shooting at Lil Wayne‘s tour bus outside of Compound nightclub in Atlanta, Georgia on April 25th.

Peewee was served with a 20-year sentence (10 years in prison and 10 years on probation), but according to a new report by the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, he has had his sentence overturned.

The good friend of T.I., Birdman and Young Thug appealed his sentence in February this year by claiming the Cobb County judge, Mary Staley Clark, “pushed” him into accepting a plea deal that he had previously declined by allegedly threatening him with a harder sentence.

Winfrey will now remain locked up behind bars while his case goes back to the Cobb County State Court to start over again!

Lil Wayne Sued For Hate Crime Against A White Nightclub Bouncer, Wants Lawsuit Dismissed

Lil Wayne Sued For Hate Crime Against A White Nightclub Bouncer, Wants Lawsuit Dismissed

It looks like Lil Wayne has another legal issue he has to deal with as The Blast, who first broke the news Wayne had reached a settlement with his record labels, have obtained new court documents that show he is being accused of committing a hate crime.

Last year in June, a white security guard named Andrew Nunemacher was working on the door of Hyde nightclub, which is where Tunechi was hosting his BET Awards after-party, and accused Tune of punching him and throwing a glass of alcohol into his face while saying: “fuck you white boy”.

Andrew is in court arguing that these words prove the assault was a hate crime and it was driven by his “Caucasian ancestry and descent.” However, Weezy is denying that he committed a hate crime and claims he never even assaulted the nightclub bouncer.

Mr. Carter says he acted in a “careful” and “reasonable” manner, as well as that Nunemacher knew all about the potential risks of his job when he took it. He is also arguing that any of the security guard’s alleged injuries are because of self-defense and are due to his own carelessness.

The nightclub bouncer is suing Lil Wayne, Young Money, and the nightclub for assault, as well as wants a $25,000 civil penalty added for Wayne‘s alleged hate crime. Even though the court case is still on going, Weezy wants it dismissed completely!

Lil Wayne’s Lawyer Confirms He Is Now A Free Independent Artist Who Owns All His Rights

Lil Wayne's Lawyer Confirms He Is Now A Free Independent Artist Who Owns All His Rights

First thing’s first, I want to give a huge shout out to all of the real fans who have stuck with Lil Wayne as he has gone through this situation that felt never-ending with his record labels!

After we first heard about Wayne winning his legal battle with Universal and Cash Money Records a few days ago, Mr. Carter‘s attorney Ron Sweeney has given a statement to Billboard about the case:

“Per our settlement agreement, the matter has been amicably resolved to the satisfaction of all parties. In terms of the particulars, we’re prohibited legally from saying anything further. I can say that my client is happy. He is his own man, a man that owns his assets, his music and himself. At some point, Wayne will let his fans know what’s going to happen next.”

This confirms that Weezy has reached a settlement with Cash Money, which means he is now a free independent artist who owns his rights again (but he is still cool with Birdman). However, the lawsuit is not fully closed yet.

If you didn’t already know, Sweeney has been Tunechi‘s main lawyer for 13 years and he hired Howard King to litigate this case against Universal and CM. I guess we now just have to wait for Tune to make an announcement on what we can expect next from him! Maybe he will say something later today at Summer Jam?

Lil Wayne Emerges Victorious In His Lawsuit Against Birdman, Cash Money & Universal?

Lil Wayne Emerges Victorious In His Lawsuit Against Birdman, Cash Money & Universal

According to The Blast, Lil Wayne has emerged triumphant in his ongoing case with Birdman, Cash Money Records, and Universal Music Group after they say they have obtained the court documents.

The rival website to TMZ reveal Howard King, who is Wayne‘s attorney, filed a notice with the court on May 23rd saying all parties have come to an agreement and are ready to be done with the lawsuit.

Sources tell them that Universal wrote Tunechi a huge check for “well over $10 million” to settle the case and none of the money came from Birdman or CMR.

They also added that Universal were comfortable paying Tune the money, because they believe they will make it all back from Drake and Nicki Minaj profits in the future.

If these court documents are legit then Weezy should now officially be off Cash Money Records and Tha Carter V will be free to drop on Universal!

Lil Wayne Proves He Is Not The Father Of A 16-Year-Old Dwayne Brown By Taking A DNA Paternity Test

Remember when a woman from Louisiana named Keiotia Watson claimed Lil Wayne is the father of her 16-year-old son, Dwayne Brown, and Wayne wanted to do a new trial in the case because he was adamant he had never slept with her?

Well according to TMZ, the results from the DNA paternity test have come in and there is a 0.00% chance that Weezy is the father of Keiotia‘s boy even though she claimed they had a sexual relationship back in 2001!

Lil Wayne Demands The Judge Sanction Birdman Over Having No Accounting Records & Tax Returns From 2011

Lil Wayne Demands The Judge Sanction Birdman Over Having No Accounting Records & Tax Returns From 2011

An update in Lil Wayne‘s ongoing $50 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records has surfaced and it includes Wayne demanding that the judge punish Baby.

According to The Blast, Tunechi filed a motion on February 21st to compel a presentation of documents from Cash Money relating to Drake and Nicki Minaj as Tune accused Birdman of misleading the court with not turning over the most important documents that he was ordered to produce.

Weezy added that the record label has made over $200 million in profit, but doesn’t have any accounting records or tax returns from 2011: “Unless Cash Money admits to criminal failure to file tax returns for 2011 to present, Cash Money must produce these returns.”

As of right now, the judge in the case has yet to rule on the motion. Also, February 21st is the day that Cortez Bryant revealed they are still fighting on a release for Tha Carter V! Coincidence maybe?
