She also recalled a story of how she wrote down all of the lyrics to Weezy‘s “Rollin’” freestyle off Sorry 4 The Wait in a letter and sent it to her boyfriend, who was currently in jail and couldn’t listen to the mixtape even though he was also a big fan!

Lil Wayne‘s “A Milli” single off his Tha Carter III album, which was produced by Bangladesh, officially turned 10-years-old on February 13th.

For it’s 10-year anniversary, the producer chatted to Complex all about the song, such as creating the beat, how it ended up in Tunechi‘s hands, the sample, his reaction to first hearing what Tune did over the instrumental (he wasn’t feeling it at first), the legacy of it, his thoughts on everyone freestyling over the beat, Cory Gunz being on the original version of the track, and more.

DJ Drama Talks About Lil Wayne & “Dedication 5” Mixtape [Video]

On the red carpet at the 2013 BET Awards, Vibe caught up with DJ Drama and asked him about Lil Wayne‘s upcoming mixtape, Dedication 5, which was announced last month.

Drama explains that the mixtape is coming “sooner than people think”, confirms that Weezy has already started to record freestyles over other music artists’ instrumentals, and if it is hard for him to get Tune off a skateboard and into a studio.

He also mentioned that the skits will be back on Dedication 5 like how they are on the first 3 tapes in the Dedication mixtape series, but not on the fourth installment.
