Redd Eyezz from Zoe Pound street gang was one of the recent special guests on the Tippie Toe Podcast, which you can watch in full down below.

From the 19:00 mark of their conversation, Redd talks about having a song with everyone from the original Cash Money Records days including Lil Wayne, reveals how he first met the Young Money CEO in the studio, and says “Wayne [has] always been family”.

Later on in their interview at 49:30, Eyezz recalls the time he collaborated with Weezy on the song “Bling Blaw“. He says this was the era of Tunechi in his “eating rappers” mode and Tune had just won four GRAMMYs, so he was grateful to receive a free verse as he knew Mr. Carter was charging $150k for a feature verse at this current time!

Later on in the interview, Menace talked about the very first time he met Tunechi, how he was always a fan of him, and signing to Cash Money Records. He also added that people stopped saying Weezy was a “fake blood” after the “Blood N*ggaz” collab came about!

The Louisiana rapper also shares the story of how he was originally on “A Milli” (with Cory Gunz and Tyga), and how Weezy originally thought the sample was saying “I’m illy” on the beat!

Baron Davis Recalls Lil Wayne Hanging Around Him & His Brother Term

For episode 88 of Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson‘s “All The Smoke” podcast, they chopped it up with special guest Baron Davis to reflect on his NBA career, Kobe Bryant, activism, cannabis in sports, and much more.

During their interview at 44:45, Davis recalled how Lil Wayne used to hang around him and his brother Term (El Jefe) all of the time back in the day, and soak all of their stories up. He also called Wayne his “brother still to this day”, as well as revealed he tried to get Weezy and The Game to create a joint The Black Wall Street Records South record label.

If you didn’t already know, Term is reportedly the guy who certified Tunechi as a M.O.B. Piru Blood gang member (Tune has actually shouted him out in songs before and been in videos with him). You can check out Baron‘s full conversation after the jump below!

Similar to last week, I have decided to share scans from Lil Wayne‘s cover story for the April 2006 issue of Vibe magazine for #ThrowbackThursday today.

In an interview with Benjamin Meadows-Ingram for the mag, Weezy discussed everything from how difficult it was to work with other producers on Tha Carter II instead of Mannie Fresh, how much of an influence JAY-Z is on him, how close he came to signing with Roc-A-Fella, and if he dissed T.I. on his “Best Rapper Alive” song.
