Swizz Beatz Reveals Lil Wayne Uproar Single Did Not Have A Chorus At First

Swizz Beatz sat down with Nessa from HOT 97 last month for a one on one conversation to promote his latest album, Poison.

During their interview, Swizz spoke on if he knew Lil Wayne‘s “Uproar” single that he produced would take off like it did, as well as how the track didn’t have a chorus at first until he created one from Wayne‘s vocals.

The NYC producer and rapper also revealed that him and Weezy did a swap for swap song for each other’s album with “Pistol On My Side” on Poison and “Uproar” on Tha Carter V.

Taylor Bennett Praises Lil Wayne, Shares A Funny Story About First Meeting Him

Taylor Bennett recently sat down with Ebro Darden, Peter Rosenberg and Laura Stylez for an interview with Hot 97 on their “Ebro In The Morning” radio show, which you can watch below.

At the start of their conversation, Peter revealed Chance The Rapper had told him during their interview in June that Taylor had spent around 12 hours hanging around with Lil Wayne, because everyone thought he was Chance – as they are brothers.

The Chicago rapper then went on to explain this story more by saying he first met Wayne before Chance did at SXSW and he managed to get backstage at Weezy‘s set from everyone thinking he was Chance, but he then told Tunechi he was Chance‘s brother and so Tune let him hit his blunt.

Before Rosenberg cut Taylor Bennett off as he was discussing Lil Wayne, he did manage to say that Wayne is the most hard-working artist of all time, as well as that him and Chance both love Mr. Carter and grew up listening to his music while naming songs like “Let The Beat Build“, “1 Night Only“, and even the unofficial The Drought Is Over 4 mixtape!

Fat Joe recently sat down with Funkmaster Flex on Hot 97 for an interview were he spoke about some of his all-time favorite rappers.

While naming JAY Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Eminem, and Big Pun in his top 5 G.O.A.T. list, Joey Crack then remembered Lil Wayne and had the following to say about him:

“Lil Wayne is in that. Lil Wayne would be the king of that era. I’ll just say it early, Lil Wayne would be the king. His pen was phenomenal. He was running circles on niggas. Remember when he did that JAY Z shit over? We couldn’t even believe a nigga could rap like that.”

On June 10th, Lil Wayne headlined Hot 97‘s 25th annual Summer Jam music festival at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

During his 20-minute set, Weezy performed “Mr. Carter“, “Ride For My Niggas (Sky Is The Limit)“, “John“, “6 Foot, 7 Foot“, “Got Money“, “I’m Me“, “Lollipop“, “Pop That“, “A Milli“, and “Steady Mobbin’” live.

Unfortunately, Tunechi forgot the lyrics to his “Ride For My Niggas” and “I’m Me” songs, but he did also let everyone know in attendance that he was now “free“. You can watch Tune‘s full set at this year’s Summer Jam after the jump below, enjoy!

Around the 8:00 mark of the conversation, Trina spoke on her past relationship with Lil Wayne from 2005 – 2007 and revealed Wayne is a real good guy, but they broke up because they were both young and immature.

Also during the interview at the 14:00 mark, Trina confirmed that Weezy will be featured on her upcoming sixth studio album, due to be released in April.
