As it is #ThrowbackThursday today, we can check out a Lil Wayne interview with 97.9 The Box radio station in Houston, Texas from back in 2007 around Christmas time.

In the conversation, Weezy talked about his passion for rap, his tattoos including getting Jay Z’s “Lucky Me” song title tattooed on his neck and lyrics from the verse on his leg (he used them at the end of “Mr. Carter” too), creating his “Gossip” track, what he wanted for Christmas, what presents he bought his daughter Reginae Carter for Christmas, and much more.

Tunechi also discussed being too famous and how that effects his privacy, the white cup, his relationship with Karrine Steffans aka Superhead, what New Year’s resolution he had, appearing on “The Boondocks“, Stacey Dash, his thoughts on the GRAMMY Awards, and revealed his favorite collaborations at that moment in time were Natasha Bedingfield’s “Love Like This” remix and Playaz Circle’s “Duffle Bag Boys” single. BJ Betts recently sat down with Premium Pete for an interview on his The Premium Pete Show about being in the tattoo industry for over 20 years, designing for Nicki Minaj, getting tattooed by Sade, and more.

During their conversation, the tattoo artist and graphic designer also recalled the time that he asked Lil Wayne to tattoo his name on him at a SUPRA event back in 2013. Even though he told BJ Betts he had not done anything like this before, Wayne did proceed to ink his name on Betts‘ leg.

This year, we’ve seen Drake, Odell Beckham Jr. and John Wall all get a portrait of Lil Wayne tattooed on their bodies, and now another celebrity has got one.

NFL player Duke Riley, who is also signed to Tunechi‘s Young Money Sports agency, has got JP Alfonso to ink a portrait of Tune onto his leg.

Odell Beckham Jr. has tattooed a portrait of Lil Wayne on his body along with Bob Marley and a Sports Illustrated cover photo from 1997.

There is no details yet as to why the American football wide receiver decided to group these 3 things together, but the ink does look good.

The NFL athlete, who plays for the New York Giants, shared a photo of his new leg tatt on his Instagram story, which you can check out above.
