The rapper/NBA player also revealed that the first project he ever bought was Wayne‘s Tha Block Is Hot album, what his friendship with Tunechi is like, and what happened over Birdman/Cash Money not clearing Tune‘s verse on “Loyal To The Soil“!

Damian Lillard Speaks On Being In The Studio With Lil Wayne, His Work Ethic & Hearing Unreleased Music

A couple of days ago, Damian Lillard aka Dame D.O.L.L.A. did a press run in New York City for his upcoming Confirmed album and his new “Run It Up” single featuring Lil Wayne, which you can check out in the clips below.

One of these press run stops included a visit to Shade 45’s “Sway In The Morning” radio show. At the 5:00 mark, Dame spoke to Sway Calloway and Heather B about being in the studio with Weezy and bouncing ideas off of each other to beats, as well as revealed they have “a number of songs” that they have recorded together from his first album to now.

The NBA player and rapper also stopped by Complex to appear on episode 197 of their “Everyday Struggle” series. Throughout his appearance, Lillard discussed plenty of things about Tunechi, such as his work ethic, Cash Money trying to block his verse on “Loyal To The Soil“, listening to his music, what he learned from being in the studio with him, and hearing unreleased Tune music!

It was NBA player Damian Lillard‘s 27th birthday at the weekend and for a shout out, Lil Wayne sent him a video of himself rapping his verse off their “Loyal To The Soil” collaboration.

If you recall to last year, Lillard (who goes by Dame D.O.L.L.A. as his rap name) released a song titled “Loyal To The Soil” featuring a dope verse from Tunechi.

Damian Lillard Says Cash Money Forced Him To Remove Lil Wayne Verse From The Letter O Album

It’s been less than a week since Damian Lillard released his debut album, The Letter O, and now the NBA player has revealed he is having to remove Lil Wayne‘s feature from the project.

Dame D.O.L.L.A. explained on his social media pages that he is being forced by Cash Money Records to remove Weezy‘s dope verse from “Loyal To The Soil“.

“Unfortunately, I am being forced to remove Lil Wayne from #TheLetterO track ‘Loyal to the Soil’. Despite my agreement with Wayne, his parent label is forcing me to remove him.”

UPDATE: Dame has mentioned that the Tunechi feature will remain on his project and thanked Birdman, Slim and Mack Maine for making it happen!
