As it is #ThrowbackThursday today, I have decided to share a rare video of Lil Wayne answering questions in the press room during the 2008 BET Awards.

In the clip, Weezy talks all about his Tha Carter III album, the recording process for his and Juelz Santana‘s I Can’t Feel My Face joint project, acting in the movie “Hurricane Season” (formerly known as “The Patriots”), rumors of him being in a “Fast & Furious” film, the “Lollipop” remix, tattoos, if he has reached the top of his game, and if he ever see’s himself retiring.

Lil Wayne & Drake Are Nominated For A Next Level Performance Woodie

Lil Wayne and Drake have both been nominated for a Woodie at the 2015 MTVU Woodie Awards, which are taking place next Friday on March 20th. You may also remember that Tune performed at last year’s awards show.

The award that the Young Money rappers are nominated for is a “Next Level Performance Woodie”. This celebrates artists that search for new ways to reach their audience through technology, art, and social media. Check out why they was nominated below:

“In a truly tech-savvy move, Drake and Lil Wayne teamed up on an app for their joint tour that allowed fans in the audience to decide which of the hip-hop heavyweights would perform first.”

Lil Wayne Nominated For Favorite Hip-Hop Artist At The 2014 Peoples Choice Awards

Today, the nominations for the 40th Annual People’s Choice Awards were announced. Lil Wayne received a nomination in the category “Favorite Hip-Hop Artist” and he will go against Drake, Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

The People’s Choice Awards pick their winners by the amount of votes that each person receives in each category, so Wayniacs let’s please show our support for Weezy and vote for him here! Voting will end next month on December 5th.

Lil Wayne Nominated For Favorite Rap HipHop Artist At The 2013 American Music Awards

The 2013 American Music Awards nominations were recently announced and Lil Wayne received one in the “Favorite Artist – Rap/Hip-Hop” category. Weezy F Baby will go against Jay-Z and Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis.

The award winners are chosen by how many votes the artist received, so Wayniacs, please go and vote for Tune here! The results will be revealed on Sunday, November 24th on ABC.

Only residents from the United States of America can vote.

Lil Wayne Nominated 5 Times At The 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards

Last night during 106 & Park, BET announced the nominations for their 2012 Hip-Hop Awards show. Lil Wayne was nominated 5 times in the categories: “Best Hip-Hop Video” for “HYFR (Hell Ya Fuckin’ Right)“, “Reeseā€™s Perfect Combo Award” for “The Motto“, “Track Of The Year” for “The Motto“, “Best Club Banger” for “The Motto“, and “Hustler Of The Year“.

Mike Epps will be hosting this year’s awards show, but there is no word yet on if Weezy will be attending or taking part in one of the cyphers. However, we will find out on September 29th when the event is taped at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Georgia. The actual show will only air on TV October 9th at 8PM EST though.
