The Game Talks How Him & Lil Wayne First Met, My Life Hook & More

The Game recently sat down with Jeremy Hecht for an interview to promote his upcoming Drillmatic album.

During their conversation, Game was asked about his “My Life” single featuring Lil Wayne and revealed how him and Wayne first met.

When talking about “My Life“, the Compton rapper says the hook from Tunechi originally came from an outro Tune did for another one of their songs that Cool & Dre produced.

You can check out the full convo after the jump below. I don’t think Game is aware of this, but many Weezy fans will know that he first sang this chorus on Birdman’s “So Tired” song back in 2007!

The Tear Da Club Up Thugs-produced song appears as the outro on Pat‘s debut studio album, Ghetty Green, which was released back in 1999.

Lil Wayne Appears On Car Test, Reveals He Is Still Working On His Velvet Album

I previously posted plenty of pictures just under 3 weeks ago, and now the latest episode of Elliott Wilson and TIDAL‘s “Car Test” series with Lil Wayne is available on YouTube.

Throughout the episode, which you can check out after the jump below, Wayne can be seen chatting to Elliott while driving around Miami in a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 and listening to his brand new album, Funeral.

In their conversation, Weezy talked about wanting to keep his Rebirth album series going with the “Funeral” title, including songs that he recorded years ago on Funeral, why he still does intros, outros and skits on his projects, and confirmed he is still working on his forthcoming Velvet album.

Tunechi also spoke on learning how to create hooks after Mannie Fresh and Juvenile used to do them for him back in the day, trying to pay attention to new generation rappers, how his collaboration with The-Dream came about on “Sights And Silencers“, and much more!

During the concert, Weezy performed “Mr. Carter“, “I’m Goin’ In“, “6 Foot, 7 Foot“, “Go DJ“, “Lollipop“, “Dedicate“, “The Motto“, “A Milli“, “HYFR“, “Uproar“, and more songs live.

T-Pain Announces New Collaboration With Lil Wayne, Both Hint At A T-Wayne 2 Album

Yesterday, T-Pain took to Twitter to announce he has an upcoming collaboration with Lil Wayne after Wayne has sent him new vocals.

The Tallahassee music artist then took to Instagram to share a text message he sent to Weezy thanking him for the verse and telling him he “killed this shit”, as well as that he will be using it as the outro on his forthcoming album.

Pain also mentioned to Tunechi that the world wants a new T-Wayne collaboration project from the both of them to which Tune replied saying: “I’m with it whenever u ready! I’m here mane!! They need MUSIK”. Would you like to see and hear a T-Wayne II album?
