T-Pain Announces New Collaboration With Lil Wayne, Both Hint At A T-Wayne 2 Album

Yesterday, T-Pain took to Twitter to announce he has an upcoming collaboration with Lil Wayne after Wayne has sent him new vocals.

The Tallahassee music artist then took to Instagram to share a text message he sent to Weezy thanking him for the verse and telling him he “killed this shit”, as well as that he will be using it as the outro on his forthcoming album.

Pain also mentioned to Tunechi that the world wants a new T-Wayne collaboration project from the both of them to which Tune replied saying: “I’m with it whenever u ready! I’m here mane!! They need MUSIK”. Would you like to see and hear a T-Wayne II album?

Lil Wayne Talks “Tha Carter V”, Attempting Suicide, Retirement, Young Money & More In Billboard 2018 Fall Issue

Lil Wayne Talks Tha Carter V, Attempting Suicide, Retirement, Young Money & More In Billboard 2018 Fall Issue

Lil Wayne graces the front cover of Billboard‘s Fall issue, which will be available on newsstands September 15th.

For his cover story, Weezy spoke on a lot of things including Tha Carter V, his children, tweeting, 2 Chainz’ wedding, seizures, features, Nicki Minaj, suicide, retirement, greatness, Drake, and more.

One interesting part from the story is that they reveal the outro on Tunechi‘s C5 album will be about attempting suicide and it will sample British R&B singer Sampha’s “Indecision” song:

“When he was 12, Wayne came across a gun in his mother’s house and shot himself in the chest, just missing his heart. In the past, he has called this an accident. But on the new verse he plays, Wayne admits this was a suicide attempt, undertaken after his mother told him he would no longer be allowed to rap. The track, which samples British R&B singer Sampha’s brooding but hopeful 2013 song ‘Indecision’ and will be the album’s outro, was on the original album tracklist, but Wayne added new lyrics this summer, following the suicides of designer Kate Spade and celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain.’

Also during their conversation, we get confirmation that Young Money Entertainment now solely belongs to Tune, but their distribution deal with Republic Records remains in place. You can check out some excerpts from the interview and pics from the photo shoot below!

Drake – Blem (Feat Lil Wayne & Lionel Richie)

Drake Blem Feat Lil Wayne & Lionel Richie

Drake dropped his More Life playlist last night, which included 22 songs with features from Giggs, Kanye West, 2 Chainz, Young Thug, Sampha, Quavo, Travis Scott, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and more.

The good news is that Lil Wayne is also featured on the project, but the bad news is that Drizzy‘s Young Money boss doesn’t spit a verse. Weezy is featured on the outro of a track called “Blem” that also features Lionel Richie.

“Good morning, good afternoon, goodnight; I’m here to talk about More Life; One second”

With the way the record goes off after Tunechi says “one second”, it could mean we may get a remix in the future with a Tune verse on it just like what happened with the Hype” remix that originally appeared on VIEWS!
