STREETRUNNER Talks Being Sued Over Playing With Fire, Leaked Lil Wayne Songs, I Cant Feel My Face & More

Kyle Kramer from Noisey chopped it up with STREETRUNNER earlier this month to chat with him about releasing the remastered versions of leaked Lil Wayne songs from 2006-2007 and how he thinks they were leaked in the first place.

The producer also talked talked about getting sued for “Playing With Fire” that ended up in the track being removed from Tha Carter III, the first time he met Tunechi at The Hit Factory Criteria Recording Studios in Miami, if Tune has changed as a person over the years, and wanting to release a Greatest Hits album of all the leaked Wayne songs.

STREETRUNNER even discussed producing Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana‘s “1 Arm“, what he remembers about the I Can’t Feel My Face era, personally wanting to hear the project over Rebirth, his reaction to first hearing Weezy was going to record a rock album, and more!

Producers Play-N-Skillz Discuss Lil Wayne & T-Pain Got Money Single

Play-N-Skillz recently explained to XXL about how one of their favorite productions in hip-hop came about, which was Lil Wayne‘s “Got Money” single featuring T-Pain that can be found on Wayne‘s 2008 album, Tha Carter III.

The producers mentioned that before Weezy F Baby got his hands on the beat, there was already a few other versions of the song that had different music artists on it, such as Pitbull, Plies, Fat Joe, and Capone-N-Noreaga.

After reading an interview last week, here is another new interview that AllHipHop did with Vinylz about producing Lil Wayne‘s new single featuring Drake called “Believe Me“.

The producer discusses co-producing the “Believe Me” beat with Boi-1da last year, sending it to Drake who then played it for Wayne in the studio, hearing that Wayne recorded over more of his beats on Tha Carter V, if he thinks C5 will be Wayne‘s last album, and if he believes Drizzy was sending shots at Jay-Z on the song.

Soulja mentions that when he was down in Miami last month he hit up the studio with Tune and Justin Bieber to work on C5, as well explains what the vibe was like as they were all trying to come up with the best sound for the summer. Could this mean that the album will be released in the summer?

David Banner Discusses Lil Wayne & Producing “Thinkin’ About You” Off Dedication 5 [Video]

If you didn’t already know, David Banner produced track #16 off Lil Wayne‘s Dedication 5 mixtape called “Thinkin’ About You“. At the 11:15 mark in the clip above, Banner chats to HHS1987 about producing the song and his relationship with Tunechi.

David explains that he has the most respect for Weezy F Baby over most other music artists he has worked with, says he will never forget a conversation they had back in the day, and mentions Tune is one of the few rappers that he would only give a batch of beats out to because he normally keeps them for himself.
