Lil Wayne Performs Live At House Of Blues In Chicago, Brings Out Chance The Rapper, Thanks JAY Z & Swizz Beatz

On December 23rd, 2018, Lil Wayne put on a live concert at the House Of Blues in Chicago, Illinois for a stop on his and TIDAL’s mini “I Ain’t Shit Without You” fan appreciation tour.

For his set list, Wayne performed “Mr. Carter“, “I’m Goin’ In“, “John“, “Got Money“, “6 Foot, 7 Foot“, “Ride For My Niggas (Sky Is The Limit)“, “Go DJ“, “Lollipop“, “Mrs. Officer“, “What About Me“, “Duffle Bag Boy“, “HYFR“, “Pistol On My Side“, “Pop That“, “The Motto“, “Rich As Fuck“, “I’m Me“, “Drop The World“, “Don’t Cry“, “Can’t Be Broken“, “Let It All Work Out“, “Dedicate“, “Let It Fly“, “Open Safe“, “Mona Lisa“, “Steady Mobbin’“, “A Milli“, and “Uproar” live.

Tunechi also brought out Chance The Rapper, who called him the “greatest rapper” and “living legend”, to perform “No Problem” live together. Before performing “Uproar“, Tune thanked JAY Z for helping him with his taxes and Swizz Beatz for sending him beats non-stop while he was down. He also spotted a woman in the crowd that looked like Khaleesi (Emilia Clarke) off Game Of Thrones.

G Herbo Breaks Down & Recites His Favorite Verse Ever - Lil Wayne Ride For My Niggas

Back in 2016, G Herbo revealed his favorite ever verse in hip-hop belonged to Lil Wayne on his “Hot Shit” collaboration with Juelz Santana. However, he recently appeared on Pitchfork‘s “VERSES” series and announced that his favorite verse has now changed to be Wayne‘s “Ride For My Niggas” aka “Sky Is The Limit“.

The Chicago rapper then went on to break down the wordplay and recite the Da Drought 3 song, which is a remix over Mike Jones’ “Mr. Jones” beat. Herb mentioned that the lyrics still give him chills to this day and not many tracks do that to him, as well as recalled the first time he heard it.

During their conversation, YFN was asked to rank Lil Wayne‘s Da Drought 3 and No Ceilings mixtapes to which he gave them both a high ranking of 9.

He also called DD3 “one of his favorites” and revealed his favorite songs from both projects are “Ride For My Niggas (Sky Is The Limit)” and “Run This Town“.

At the start of their conversation, Mike spoke on how he felt about Lil Wayne freestyling over his “Mr. Jones” single, which turned out to be the classic “Sky Is The Limit (Ride For My Niggas)” song off Da Drought 3.

Jones also revealed if the Tunechi version hurt or helped him, discussed people writing in comments “this is Wayne‘s song now”, explained how close him and Tune were with each other around Tha Carter II days, and plenty more!
