Lil Wayne To Release Tha Carter Collection Vinyl Box Set

We now know why Lil Wayne randomly released an old single called “Ya Dig” this past week! It was promotion for his upcoming Tha Carter Collection box set.

Tunechi is getting ready to release a 7″ vinyl boxed set, which will feature 19 of his biggest hits from his Tha Carter album series plus Tha Carter III era record, “Ya Dig“.

The box set that has been designed from Weezy‘s tattoos will also include a booklet of rare photographs, lithography, and more new art. It will ship next month around November 12th. Click here to pre-order Tha Carter Collection for $200.00!

Lil Wayne Releases An Old But Unheard Single Called “Ya Dig”

Lil Wayne Releases An Old But Unheard Single Called Ya Dig

We first heard about “Ya Dig” a couple of weeks ago when it was supposed to drop on September 24th, however, it was then postponed until today to not hinder the release of Lil Wayne and Rich The Kid’s Trust Fund Babies joint album.

There are not too many other details about this Weezy single, especially the question as to why something that was recorded in either late 2007 or early 2008 has been released (not that any of us will be complaining as it is extremely dope).

You can stream “Ya Dig” that was co-produced by STREETRUNNER and Tarik Azzouz below. The record samples the same song as what Tunechi‘s “Gossip” track does – Margie Joseph’s “Stop, In The Name Of Love“. Why do you think this Tune single has now been released?

New Lil Wayne Music To Be Released This Friday (September 24th)

New Lil Wayne Music To Be Released This Friday - September 24th

Later this week on Friday, September 24th, we are about to hear some “new” Lil Wayne music. I put “new” in quotes as it’s possible we may have already heard the music previously.

The first thing Wayne will release officially is something called “Ya Dig“. This could either be a brand new single from I Am Not A Human Being III, or it could be similar to those 4-song playlist EPs we received last year.

Next up is G-Eazy‘s “When You’re Gone” featuring a verse and hook from Weezy; Even though this collaboration leaked at the end of 2019, Eazy is about to release his These Things Happen Too album on Friday, so we should be hearing it in CDQ form.

Lastly, Logic has announced he will be releasing the official “Perfect” remix featuring Tunechi and A$AP Ferg on September 24th. Again, this previously leaked last year and Logic also called his record label Def Jam “f*ck-boys” over this track for not wanting to pay Tune!
