Above, you can watch the video of Young Money performing live at the BET Awards 2009. I watched the whole show and it was really good, but all I am going to say about YM’s performance is that it wasn’t their best.
Drake starts off by performing “Best I Ever Had“, then introduces Lil Wayne who performs “Every Girl” with Gudda Gudda and Mack Maine. Birdman then comes out and does his verse of “Always Strapped“. Shanell, Lil Twist and Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae were on stage with them too and all I have to say to BET is – Why censor so much of Weezy’s part?

First of all, Best I Ever Had was good, and I heard someone say that Drake shoud’ve stood up. He tore his ACl, he could’ve used that as an excuse to not even perform. Every Girl would’ve been better if the performance hadn’t been all rushed, as noticed because of the fact that they skipped 4 bars of Drake’s verse or something, and they hadn’t censored out every word they said. Same thing goes for Always Strapped.

I did not like the performance! I loved Drake, but why in hell would “Every Girl” be performed to end the show in honor of MJ! They could’ve had more respect, for the Jackson family! & also why were there underage age girls dancing on stage during “Every girl”??? According to my source, what happened was Wayne’s daughter Reginae, 9, was upset that she didn’t get the chance to accompany her father, Lil Wayne, to the stage to accept his award because she was sitting too far back in the audience. Once backstage, the youngster began to cry. And Wayne, who they say is a great dad, hated to see his little girl cry. So he told Reginae she could come out onstage during his performance with Drake. 1st off i was expecting better but still, they killed the show. It was fire. 2nd off: Every Girl is not and was not on LIL WAYNES album its on and will be on DRAKES ALBUM. Its not lil waynes song. He Feautered in the song. So if people are gunna say ” Oo he brought lil girls on the stage for that song ” then you might as well target all the rappers that was up there. Weezy is ONLY being targeted because hes the most successful out of those people. And if the girls coming on stage was a problem, then during the practices, it wouldve been consulted. Again, DOnt target someone thats feautered in the song, because if you are then you might as well do that to everyone. Maybe before people start judging, you guys should get your background information: eg: find out whos idea was it to bring the girls up. Then you may start targeting people.

For one, Every Girl is a horrid song. Second of all, why the hell would you let Lil Wayne of all people perform at a Michael Jackson tribute? What does he have to do with Michael Jackson? What does his songs he performed have to do with Michael Jackson? Lil Wayne was a disgrace and on top of that, he is horrible live.
