Justin Bieber recently took part in a Q&A session with his fans in a gym on the app Fahlo. One of the questions that Bieber was asked was what are his top 3 most played songs currently on his iPod, to which he replied:
“Lil Wayne’s ‘Too Hollygrove To Go Hollywood,’ Drake’s ‘Legend,’ and Jonathan David & Melissa Helser’s ‘No Longer Slaves.'”
Of course when Justin says “Too Hollygrove To Go Hollywood“, he is talking about the amazing track off Weezy‘s Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape called “HollyWeezy“! Pretty cool right?
The beautiful Australian actress, Margot Robbie, who appeared in “The Wolf Of Wall Street” and will be Harley Quinn in next year’s “Suicide Squad” film is on the front cover of the August 2015 issue of ELLE magazine, which will be on newsstands nationwide July 21st.
Writer Simon van Zuylen-Wood, who interviewed Margot for her ELLE cover story, revealed that at one point they was in a Chevy and Robbie got out her iPod to play Lil Wayne‘s freestyle over Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” song that he called “Sorry 4 The Wait“, as well as started to perform it word for word!
“When we get to the Chevy, Robbie’s equally tall, equally tan personal assistant and BFF since age 10, Sophia, is behind the wheel. Margot slides in and cues up a rather filthy Lil Wayne song on her iPod. ‘You want a performance?’ she asks me. Sophia and Margot begin to rap: ‘We the shit, yeah Weezy go hard like Cialis… / She pop X, I smoke O’s, tic-tac-toe.'”
In a recent interview with Rap-Up, T-Pain explained that he believes his and Lil Wayne‘s collaboration album, T-Wayne, will get released one day and not get scrapped.
“I’m getting back on my music shit, so I’m pretty sure Wayne will be like: ‘I’m glad you’re back. Let’s make this happen.’ I think it’ll happen again. I think it will.”
Pain also mentioned that him and Weezy have a vault full on music that has not yet seen the light of the day and that he listens to the tracks on his iPod frequently. He even says that their music they recorded was ahead of its time, so it would be perfect to drop the songs around now than it would of been to drop the songs a few years back.
It’s been a good while since we have seen one of these type of interviews with Lil Wayne! While at the SPECTRE by SUPRA launch party in Miami last week, Mass Appeal asked Weezy F Baby plenty of questions for the latest episode of thier “Off Tha’ Wall” series.
Tunechi answered why he decided to start rapping, what memories he had from the Hot Boys days, how he got the nickname “Shrimp Daddy”, what it is like being a rap star, why he decided to start skateboarding, what his favorite SPECTRE by SUPRA model is, how he came up with the name TRUKFIT, what his favorite sports movie is, what the most unexpected song on his iPod is, his guilty pleasures, what his pet peeves are, what he hid from his mother growing up, if there are any quotes that he lives by, what is next for him, and what his last meal would be.
Mass Appeal also asked Wayne who he prefers out of Martin or the Fresh Prince, Michael Jackson or Prince, and Marvin Gaye or Stevie Wonder. This is then when Tune tells the story of Stevie once telling him to shut up at a party.
We’ve already posted a couple of excerpts from Paris Hilton and Dimitri Ehrlich‘s interview with Lil Wayne for Interview Magazine, but we now get the full interview that will appear in April’s issue. You can read the whole interview after the jump, and I think my favorite part has got to be when Weezy said he has two pet sharks and “those are my dudes” haha.
We have just finished all of the lyrics to Lil Wayne‘s latest album, I Am Not A Human Being. We did the lyrics to every single song, including the bonus tracks that will be included on the hard copy version of the album.
